This is a townhouse and is less than 15 miles to downtown Greenville and less than 25 miles to downtown Spartanburg. The Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) is 30 miles away (45 minute drive). The mountains are nearby if you like hiking and wineries. There are several small towns nearby if you prefer the smaller towns. Lots of them have active downtowns with cute little shops and great restaurants. If you have children please bring a gate because the second bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. Also bring cabinet locks if you have children, as this is my personal home and I have personal items in the cabinets/drawers, etc.. (medicines) Dogs welcome, no cats please. The fence is 25" tall so you may need a dog runner cable if your pup's a jumper.

Why Kelly Harvey chose Greer
This property is in between the large cities of Charlotte and Atlanta and between the smaller cities of Greenville and Spartanburg. It is also near the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) where the World Games will be played Sept 11-23, 2018. It is about 30 miles to TIEC which takes about 45 minutes to drive there. This property is listed for sale and may be shown to realtors during your stay. I will give you notice so that you can tidy up.

Not my cup of tea
The owner and occupant Kelly is obviously a kind and caring person. She rents out her home while she is away. This duplex is in a good location at base of the Blue Ridge mountains. There are nice empty lots good for walking your dogs. However, I would not stay here again. There were no open spaces or empty closets to put your belongings in. Each surface space was full of decor and personal belongings. If you don't mind staying someplace where you have to put your belongings on top of owners belongings you'll be fine here. We had to evacuate from Hurricane Florence and Kelly graciously rented her place as she was out of town. We had to quickly pack perishables and important personal items and leave. When we arrived there was no place to put our items; including food items. The refrigerator and freezer were completely filled (and I mean full) of mostly expired food items, leaving virtually no room for our items and. Toilets are extremely low, stairs are wooden, narrow, and very steep. There is only one bedroom downstairs. Even the entryway jacket, hat, shoes, and keys were completely full of clothing and shoes, no place to hang our things. I have not experienced this before on VRBO. I am used to having plenty of room to unpack and put away items. We literally were unable to unpack. We kept clothing on the floor. Everyplace you would normally put your items were taken up by the owners decor or personal items. In my own guest room at home I have empty drawers and an empty closet for guests to put things away. This is not the case here. I'm sure it isn't Kelly's intent but it did not feel welcoming. As Mentioned, guests in my own home have plenty of space for their belongings and easy access. Kelly referred to one free rack in her closet and one drawer in one of the rooms to put things away. I did not find these spots on our stay and there were four of us. If you don't mind living on top of someone else's belongings you will be fine. The garage is full as well so you cannot park inside. We left early and Kelly was gracious to refund the night we didn't stay.
If guests read the description of the property they know in advance that it is my personal home, as this is how it is described: " If you have children please bring a gate because the second bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. Also bring cabinet locks if you have children, as this is my personal home and I have personal items in the cabinets/drawers, etc.. (medicines) " Also, there are 2 completely empty dressers upstairs, (not just one drawer) and a 6 foot empty rack in the master closet for hanging clothes. I'm sorry it wasn't your cup of tea, but it is stated clearly that it is my personal home and not a 'rental' home.
Comfortable and Relaxing
We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay :) The house was clean, well-stocked, and in a great location. Kelly was very responsive to all messages and a fabulous host. We definitely will return in the future.
Thank you for such a nice review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Wish you could've stayed longer. Maybe next time. Thank you for being very neat & tidy while here.
Hosts were exceptional and house lovely. Felt just like home.
