Located in Capital Hill (originally Brown's Bluff) of Denver, this hip neighborhood is electric and colorful. This is one of the most vibrant and convenient locations in all of Denver. With a walkscore dotcom of 96 which is a walkers paradise. The home is close to downtown but not too close. Natural Grocers is 5 blocks away...... Whole Foods market is only 6 blocks, King Scoopers is 8 blocks away as is Trader Joe's........ Located on historic Pearl St. the home is modern and fun.

Just a short walk (5 blocks) to the State Capital building and 16th Street Mall (6 blocks) puts you in the middle of downtown. ….less than 3 miles from any of Denver's sporting venues.....Pepsi Center, Sports Authority Field and Coors Field. The free 16th Street Mall shuttle continues through downtown Denver to Union Station. Everything Denver has to offer is within a 3 mile radius of the home..(not everything but pretty close).

Beautiful light shines through all the windows in this home as it faces a mansion and courtyard....a very open feel for a downtown neighborhood. With a spacious second floor deck, backyard patio and pergola there is space to enjoy outside also. Leave the blinds open and enjoy the beauty of the neighborhood. The street is filled with an urban mix of mansions, condos and apartment complexes. Very eclectic which is what we love about the neighborhood. You won't be disappointed with this home for your visit to Denver.

The home has an open floor plan (approximately 2000sf) that flows with warmth and natural light. The last remodel kept the original architecture, but added some modern conveniences. There are 3 bedrooms on the second floor (queen, queen and a double bed). The first bedroom is located at the front of the house with views of historic Pearl St. The sitting area in the turret is perfect for taking in a good book, a nap or watching the street below. Bedroom 2 sits in the middle of the home, and has a small led tv. Bedroom 3 (on the opposite end of the home) has an antique iron double bed and a nice private deck with views of the mountains and local neighborhood.

The lower level suite bedroom has a 'Tempur-pedic' queen size bed and private bathroom. Please note this home is 117 years old, and the stairs to the living space in the basement were built a bit steep.....but normal for the period, around 1899. There is also an exit door in the basement to the back yard.

This home has 2.5 bathrooms.....1 bathroom on the upper level, 1 bathroom on the lower level and a 1/2 bath on the main level......a very convenient amenity for a classic Victorian.

The living area is completely comfortable with period gas burning coal basket, LCD flat screen TV, DVR, stereo(with iPod connection) and many books and magazines for reading pleasure.

The front porch has a 2 person bistro table and chairs for street viewing, morning coffee or afternoon beverage.

All linens, towels, toilet paper and paper towels are provided. The gourmet kitchen is open and spacious with plenty of room to relax, entertain or just enjoying your favorite meal. The spacious and bright kitchen has been outfitted with top of the line appliances, as well as formal dining room adjacent to the kitchen.

This century old row house has been furnished with everything needed to maximize relaxation and comfort. The airy flow of the home's layout adds to the charm of your stay. The original Victorian details have been maintained with beautiful hardwood floors. The old world craftsmanship and period details are a stand out.

The home has, four (4) Flat Screen TV’s(living area TV with HD) with Cable, WiFi............. -------------------

Thanksgiving in Denver

This charming Pearl street home was a pleasant surprise. One of those gems, you don't come across often. There were so many well thought out details in the home it was always fun to find new things everyday. Besides that it was very comfortable and slept six with ease. We managed to fit twelve around the dinner table for Thanksgiving, close but so much fun. I would highly recommend this cozy home and sink into Ed and Laura's creation, you will enjoy it!

Site was perfect for four sisters. Couldn't have been better. Well appointed, clean, great location.

We loved our stay at the Victorian. Convenient location to downtown, great local shopping for walking to food stores and local restaurants, quiet neighborhood. The place felt like home with many lovely little touches. The townhome was clean and well maintained. We loved the decor in each room, and the layout worked beautifully for our needs. Although we didn't dine in much, we sure could have, and found the kitchen well equipped. Living areas served us well and we felt right at home. Owner friendly and easy to work with. We would recommend it highly, and hope to return soon.

Beautiful Home and Fanstasic Location

This home is simply beautiful and has been incredibly well maintained. There are so many wonderful and thoughtful touches around the home, it is fun to explore the house and really get a sense of its history. There were 4 couples staying here and the layout and space was perfect for us all. Parking in the neighborhood can be a bit challenging but there is parking for one car in the carriage house so that was helpful. The home is walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and fun things to do. To top it all off, Ed was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He sent very detailed instructions for us in advance of our arrival and made it clear that he was available throughout the weekend in case we needed anything or had any questions. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to rent in the area! Ed, thank you again for everything, we hope to come back and enjoy this amazing home again one day soon.

The house became a home as soon as we walked in the door. An awesome place to spend a vacation!

My wife and I rented this place for a family reunion with our two sons, our daughter in law and one son's fiance. The house was really great, tastefully decorated and roomy enough for everyone, with comfortable beds and a fine A/C. It had many fine architectural touches that you don't see everyday. Everything was squeaky clean and well maintained. Ed, the owner, helped us with a couple of questions when we first checked in; that was the only time we needed him. We spent a lot of time on the back patio, where a table and chairs were set underneath a trellised canopy with a blooming, creeping vine that attracted a few bees, who didn't seem to care that we were there. One of our sons grilled some tasty burgers on the gas grill Saturday night while our daughter in law mixed fabulous margaritas with fresh lime juice. The girls teamed up to prepare a delicious breakfast Sunday morning in the well equipped kitchen. All the young ones took in the National concert at Red Rock Amphitheater Sunday night. The neighborhood was beautiful, with a lot of old, seemingly Victorian houses. We were just a short walk from a very popular breakfast & lunch place, where they had PBR for two bucks and great SBLTs. A couple of grocery stores, including a Whole Foods, were within walking distance. An art museum was a mere two blocks away, but unfortunately they were in the process of moving to another location. Molly Brown's stately mansion was close by and we all walked over there to check it out. The gold-domed capital building is also just a few blocks from the house. We used Uber to go downtown; their response time was quick and their fares reasonable. Uber took us to Union Station Monday night, where we enjoyed a delicious and quite expensive dinner at Denver Mercantile. Everything on this trip was as advertised. Kudos to Ed!

Best of Both Worlds: A Vacation While Feeling at Home

My family and I had the fortune of being able to get together in Denver. I was given the task of locating a place for us to stay and I selected this home. My family continues to thank me for my choice. We immediately felt at home as we entered. Basics and beyond were available. There were blow dryers, paper products, soap. shampoo, laundry soap…and the list goes on. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were perfect for our group.

The location was perfect as we love to walk and were able to walk to all of the major attractions within the city (including the Coor's Stadium). There are several restaurants nearby. What I hadn’t expected was two restaurants that were Vegetarian/Vegan. Our family visited City O City and Watercourse (even my children who eat meat recommend both places).

Ed did an excellent job of communicating with us. He made it clear that he could be contacted if there were any issues or concerns. I can’t express how nice it was to hear from Ed and how it put me at ease.

My family has voiced wanting to return to this home if we travel to Denver again. I don’t think I can capture how nice the accommodations were. I highly recommend this rental: home away from home.

Lovely Victorian Home

We appreciated our stay at the Pearl St. location. Turn-of-the-Century Victorian house with modern conveniences. Close to downtown Denver, yet far enough to be able to relax. One mile to the Performing Arts complex, and is served by the free 16th St bus system to the Capital square. Nice front and back porch sitting areas. Walking distance to two larger grocery stores. Ed (owner) is most accommodating and helpful, as our group was arriving before the stated arrival time. He keeps it well-maintained. We would recommend this place to friends and family members. In fact, this is our second time staying in the house.
