Since I initially visited southwest Florida in the early 1990's, I was drawn to own a piece of paradise on the southern end of Fort Myers Beach Island. It's been a great place for me to decompress from the hustle and bustle of my daily life. I am sure you can find it a soothing place to unwind and relax.

You are walking distance to scenic Lover's Key Beach that has been featured on the Travel Channel. Lover's Key has bike and kayak rentals available. You are also walking distance to fish from the nearby Carlos Pointe bridge. Bring one of the foldable chairs I have available for you in the beach condo, find your spot on the bridge and fish anytime day or night from the bridge. Jetskiing and boat rentals are also available on the island.

DID NOT "LOVE IT"-VRBO is not allowing me to change the setting.
We were shocked at the condition of this condo. We have stayed in many VRBO, from the most beautiful to a basic rental. Never had a complaint! This place needs a major overhaul. The bathrooms have black mold throughout the glass sliding doors and old corroded meta doorsl. The majority of towels should be used as rags. A few nice tan towels. Not only was there black mold on the sliding doors but the shower bathmat had black mold in the suction bubbles. DISGUSTING. The ceiIingl bath fan was hanging from the ceiling and the vent was FULL, I mean full of lint and dust. The kitchen was like a flea market. Not a set of matching dishes, bowls, coffee cups or silverware. The utensils are a varity of miss matched junk as most of the kitchen supplies. There were ants all over the old matted kitchen rug, ants on the kitchen counter and in the 2nd bathroom sink. The living room TV was so old there was no HD and had static on every channel. One of the sofa's was propped up on wood blocks and cardboard replacing the front broken legs. The ceiling fan blades over the dining room table were warped, bowed and hanging. The term "pool/beach toys" means rusted beach chairs, a rotted beach bag, ripped beach mat and a deflated raft with an old bandaid stuck to it. (by the way-no floats or rafts in the pool) The selection of books are old baskets with yellowed paperbacks in them. There was an ice maker and since it did not make ice efficiently, ice trays were provided! The pot holders were crusted with food and smelled like old grease. Berber needs the stains cleaned. We regret not doing our homework so do yours before staying here. We spoke to 4 other couples at the pool the were in fully remodeled units for the same price. I emailed the owner pictures of everything with a letter and he got the pictures but could not open the letter. At that time he apologized for the mess and said he had had surgery. This has not just recently happened!! The owner is an absent owner or does not care. He did ask to resent the letter and I emailed the letter twice and he did receive it. In the letter I asked for compensation for the condition of the condo and I never heard another word from this man.
PS The only reason to go to this VRBO is if you want a porch great porch view, an A/C that works well, master bed that is comfortable and a convienent location.
Normally, a person who is ‘shocked’ by the condition of their rental would contact management immediately upon arrival so that issues could be resolved. I live 45 minutes away. John (renter) had my phone number and email address. If I could not rectify those issues in a timely manner, I would have refunded the rental fee. I would have welcomed the opportunity to satisfy the renter one way or another.
Instead, John stayed for the full 7 days without contacting me. And only after John checked out, did John contact me via e-mail separate from the VRBO Inbox so VRBO Support COULD NOT READ his demand that I give him a 50% refund or he would post a bad review of my unit on VRBO. Where I come from, that’s called extortion and I do not participate in criminal activity.
For those VRBO potential renters who might be reading this, please know that I am available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure your stay at my rental is everything you expect and more.
I have stayed at numerous places on the beach and this condo had the most beautiful view that I have ever experienced. It was also nice to have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths which is sometimes hard to find. The rooms were nice and comfortable
Great location and very spacious!
My family of 4 booked a vacation, during red tide. We had no idea how bad the red tide was! Unfortunately, we had to leave early because we couldn't use the beach. The property is a great location on the beach, the property is very spacious! Jim, the owner, was very great! We kept in constant contact about the red tide issues and he was nice enough to give us a partial refund on the days we couldn't stay. He didn't have to, but did the right thing. We will go back to his property in a heart beat, if there's no red tide.
Large, convenient condo. Great view from the balcony. Cloth washer and dryer inside the condo — no need to collect coins... It was easy to communicate to the owner.

We had a great time at Carlos Pointe. Jim the owner was great with our arraignments and very responsive. The condo was clean, and had everything we needed. It was great to have the little things there already, like spices for cooking, garbage bags, soap, toilet paper, we have rented other condos and had to bring all that. We left what we had purchased to help the next renter out. The pool and rest of the building was taken care of nicely by the friendly maintenance man. The beach was awesome, at all times of the day you see different wildlife. especially by the channel when the tide goes in and out. Close enough for a short drive to the pier, and far enough from the hustle and crowds.
Beautiful beach view. Owner very attentive and helpful. Very wide beach- a little walk to the water. Enjoyed our stay.
