We live in a beautiful, large Berkeley home, with 3 bedrooms, 2½ baths, a large fully equipped kitchen, and an enclosed back yard on a quiet, friendly, and safe residential street with easy on-street parking.
The main floor of our home has a spacious, bright kitchen with a large island for cooking and eating, a separate eating area that opens to the large, sunny back yard (complete with sandbox for the little ones), a patio, table and chairs and a BBQ. There is a half bath, a family room with full cable TV and lots of toys and books for kids. The family room opens onto a large living room, one end of which contains a dining room table that can seat 8 people comfortably. Of course, there’s high speed Internet available throughout the house.
Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a queen bed, lots of walk-in closet space, cable TV, a master bathroom with two sinks and a shower, and an elliptical trainer. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and a crib. The third bedroom has two twin beds. There is a second full bathroom.
We are located in north Berkeley, and are a 5 minute walk from the Solano Avenue shopping/dining district (over 40 restaurants/ice cream shops/grocery stores, bookstores, etc.) and 1 mile from Berkeley’s “Gourmet Ghetto,” including the legendary Chez Panisse.
The University of California at Berkeley is 2 miles away. You can walk, take and easy bike ride, bus from our corner, or drive. The nearest Bay Area Rapid Transit station (known locally as “BART”) is a bit over a mile away and the bus and BART both provide easy access to downtown Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco and the entire Bay Area.
