About Cate Howard / Chuck Howard

We bought over 2 acres in this amazing neighborhood that our children could run free in and play with kids their own age. It was our dream come true. The children are grown up now and come back often. It is still a wonderful place to live and we are fortunate to have two houses here. We have great neighbors and love to walk, bike and kayak in the river. We have always felt safe here.

Why Cate Howard / Chuck Howard chose East Orleans

We wake up to the birds singing and can hear the surf at Nauset beach when it's UP. It's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood that is just beautiful. There is a large yard to play in and it is off the beaten path. A saltwater pond is a 5 minute walk where the kids can swim or you can go kayaking.

What makes this house unique

On rainy days play foosball or ping pong in the basement. Pick fresh herbs outside your door or just relax on the private deck. There is a hammock to relax in or chaises to lie on. Well behaved dogs are welcome and have lots of room to run.

Perfect vacation home

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough nice things about this house. It was at the end of a secluded drive. But an easy drive to any spot in Orleans. The house was beautifully appointed and really well taken care of. The kitchen had a good array of cookware, knives, even a blender and a food processor. It was very comfortable for the 6-8 of us who stayed there depending on the week. Our personal favorite spot was the screened in porch- we were out there all of the time! The owners were so pleasant and responsive. We heartily recommend renting.

This is the Place!!!

What an amazing stay! First of all, the neighborhood is gorgeous, and it's on a private road which makes lazy afternoon and morning strolls perfect with fabulous water views throughout. We really liked the house, it's secluded, but also a 2 minute drive to Nauset Beach, which the kids loved for boogie boarding and building sand castles. Cate was great to deal with, and had menus of some great local restaurants on site, which made deciding where to eat really easy. The layout of the house is perfect, and allowed us some privacy from the kids, which was nice to have! Overall, I would say that you can't do better for location and value in East Orleans, and I have been visiting for over ten years!

Exactly what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

So many great things about this home. First, it is a Fri to Fri rental, which is rare. It is pet friendly and absolutely perfect for dogs, extremely private yard, in fact you can't see any other houses. The house itself is well maintained, comfortable and fully equipped. Sheets, towels, beach towels, beach chairs and some additional extras. The neighborhood is really beautiful. The house is across the street from Meeting House Pond. We brought along our boat and booked a transient mooring for the week for a great price at Nauset East. Less than 2 miles to the beach and about a mile from many shops and restaurants. Cate, the owners is very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Great spot for the week, I only wish I had booked 2 weeks! I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a home in Orleans in a private setting but close to everything!

Just as advertised. Clean, quiet, fully equipped and comfortable. Easy drive to town and beach. Orleans is very family friendly. Not a big party town, but that worked for us.
