Very nice basement apartment in a vibrant neighborhood. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go.
The property itself is clean, comfortable and well stocked with necessities. We didn’t have to ask for anything during our stay.
Everything about this rental was excellent. From the beginning the contact with Judith the owner, was great. The location of the apartment is very convenient as it is close to Fullerton train station which allows easy access to all of Chicago.
The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need is provided and the place is absolutely spotless.
Nearby there are many great bars and restaurants if you don’t want to travel into the city. Try Racine Plumbing for drinks, Pat’s Pizza and then for breakfast / brunch try Batter and Berries.
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and without hesitation would return.

A wonderful home base for a Chicago visit
I visit Chicago every Summer for a few dats. This was my favorite place to stay so far. Next year, I don't think I'll look anywhere but here.
Wonderful location from which to explore downtown + Lakeview (River North, New Town, Odl Town Wrigleyville). Great restaurants nearby.

Lovely apartment in a pleasant and convenient area
An attractive, homely, clean and very comfortable, lower level apartment in the Depaul University area. Perfect for younger or older travellers with just a few steps down to the entrance from street level.
Great food (pizza, Mexican), cafes, rail and shopping close by.
The apartment was well stocked and apart from some problems with wifi connectivity (which the owner was promptly looking into), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on our first visit to Chicago. Judith was prompt with responses to enquiries and always helpful.

This little place is the downstairs private apartment of a very nice home. It has a private entrance. The most we ever heard while there was the owners car starting and leaving out of the garage in the mornings. It’s a perfect spot for a couple to stay. It’s well supplied with the things you need to enjoy your stay. We had a little a/c issue while we were there, but the owners never stopped working to solve the issue and offered a full refund if we decided to relocate. Since we have a AirBnB/HomeAway as well, we know all too well that unforseeable things just happen. The apartment was so perfect that we decided to stay as the weather was cool enough that we could make it work and still be happy. If you have an issue, this owner will not turn a blind eye. That’s a huge plus when staying at a property, and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly. We’ve experienced this same issue with a different property and it wasn’t handled well, so we were relieved when the owners made us a priority. You’ll be happy here. It’s a safe walk to the train station so we bought an unlimited 7-day transportation pass for trains and busses and it really saved on transportation. There’s a park right across the street which is great too! Wrigley Field is just like two train stops north and I’d highly recommend catching a Cubs game. It was a great experience. The owner supplied the apartment with k-cups for us which was very nice for morning coffee which we enjoyed daily! The first day we arrived, we ordered groceries through Amazon’s PrimeNow service from Whole Foods and they delivered everything within an hour right to the door so we were set up with coffee creamer, milk, juice, fruit, and breakfast makings to start our days off right. It helped that there’s a toaster provided as well. We also had some wine and cheese delivered for night time when winding down from our day. I’m not sure if you’ll find a safer place to stay in all of Chicago. One extra tip...there’s a Whole Foods on the way to the train station if you want to grab something on your way out for the day, or on your way back to the apartment to end your day. It’s super convenient. Your walk to the train station takes you through the heart of a small college campus too so it’s a nice, safe walk. We only stay in these types of places when we travel now. We do not use hotels any longer. We’ve traveled all over and this is one of the nicest rentals we’ve stayed in. Thanks Judith!!!

A Great Week in Chicago!
What a great location from which to explore the city! This unit is in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, with easy access to all the amenities a big city offers. It is one of Chicago's safest neighborhoods. It's steps to DePaul University and the red line "El" train. The latter can take you south to the Loop or north to suburban Evanston and Skokie. Buses are also in abundance. There is a park directly across the street from this unit and parking a car is a breeze, which is not the case for most of Chicago. The is a Whole Foods just down the street. There are simply too many restaurants and bars within walking distance to try them all!
The apartment itself was immaculate when I arrived. Super clean! The furniture and bed are very comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked, should you choose to cook yourself. Beautiful hardwood floors, tasteful art on the walls, recessed lighting, and a gorgeous bathroom too. It's very quiet at night. I can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else in the Windy City! The owner was wonderful too, very attentive and not at all intrusive. Whether you are coming for business or pleasure, don't pass up this unit. You will not be disappointed!
