Melissa's beach house was perfect for our family of ten - the indoor/outdoor arrangement is awesome especially when using the BBQ set up. Plus everything you need in the kitchen is available.
Having the option to hang out in the backyard or the beach right below and view the ocean truly provided the feel that you are in your own slice of paradise.
We saw monk seals on the beach , turtles in the tide pools and whales breaching on the horizon. And the sunsets were beautiful. After touring around the rest of Oahu, this is the perfect place to come back to and unwind. Plus it's convenient to golf and shopping.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Aloha life. It was cool.
Highly recommend !
A beautiful private paradise
Our family enjoyed an amazing week of fun and sun in this lovely beach house. The property and house exceeded all expectations and perfectly fit our needs.
Both indoors and out are well maintained, very tidy, and clean.
The layout is spacious with both common spaces and private rooms. The soft color palette, thoughtful touches, and local treasures throughout the house created a relaxing beach home. The bedrooms are quite comfortable and offer a peaceful retreat. There are plenty of bath and beach towels for everyone.
The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking equipment and dining utensils and large enough for a few cooks to work simultaneously. The adjacent living / dining room is equipped with plenty of different types of entertainment, so there's something for everyone. The open space concept lends itself to group games and lively chatter, yet there are 'areas' for more intimate conversations.
The outside 'wall' slides open to reveal the most beautiful courtyard with a large gorgeous tree creating the focal point. We barbequed and dined under this astonishing canopy morning and night. We had planned to go out to dinner a couple of nights, but our outdoor dining was so relaxing and quintesstential Hawaii that we chose to stay home and enjoy our private paradise.
The large grassy area was ideal for rousing yard games, lazily soaking up the sun, or merely gazing at the captivating blue ocean and crashing waves. An early morning cup of coffee while watching whales and dolphins jump was a delicious way to start the day. Snorkeling and swimming with large turtles and colorful fish provided daily adventures right off our beach. The days ended too soon but the sunsets were breathtaking and a beautiful end to a perfect day. We are so happy we chose this little slice of heaven.
Wonderful family experience!
This home is a lovely Hawaiian style home that has obviously been well cared for and loved for generations! We enjoyed the openess and the flow of the living space...basically, the beautiful outdoors IS the living space, which is what we came for! We also enjoyed the many activities at the house: croquet, bocce ball, turtle watching , whale watching, snorkeling. It was fun to come home at the end of the day if we've been out and about and "talk story" and prepare a good meal together. The kitchen is very well equipped. It may feel a little isolated for some, it's a drive everywhere. Some days we chose to stay at the house all day ;) The location on the beautiful beach and the activities at the house make it a perfect place for our family. Mahalo nui loa for sharing this home. We are looking forward to being regular guests ;)
Great place to stay!
We loved the open floor plan, perfect for our family of 6, with room to spare. The location was away from the big city, but close enough to access restaurants, etc when we wanted to. We wound up eating most of our meals at the house because the kitchen area was so great, and the grocery stores were closeby. We enjoyed hearing the waves from the master bedroom, and the sunsets were spectacular. The owners were accommodating too.
