We had a wonderful family reunion. There were 14 of us. The house was perfect and well-stocked. Loved the decor and the separated bedrooms (we had three generations staying here!). We also loved the view of the fantastic New Mexico show...a lightening and thunderstorm!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Family of 12 enjoyed a long weekend in this beautiful home. Its 10 min drive outside of Taos and 5 mins from the road to the Taos ski run. Easy drive to town. Perfect getaway for our family and accommodated us splendidly! Kitchen/living area is very spacious. Cousins played ping pong every night and utilized the hot tub and roasted marshmellows for one night over the small fire pit in the back yard. Has a beautiful view of the mountain and morning sunrise is was amazing! Definitely recommend!

Not worth the money or dealing with the shady owner.

  • 1 of 5

Our great group of 12 or so guys have been skiing together all over the country for over 20 years and this was one of the worst houses we have stayed in. The beds were terrible and the fold out couches were old and broken and full of dog hair. Also the Jacuzzi cover was damaged upon our arrival and the owner blamed it on us and would not return the security deposit. Find another house if you're smart.

Owner's Response: Yes I am the owner Gary Crowley dependent and his 11 friend's party and broke my jacuzzi cover and the stanchions holding it it was $847 they still only 347 which so probably never pay me they're not they're not taking responsibility for it although they admitted it that's all I have to say in the matter except for I'll never rent to them again and 12 guys partying I guess I got what I expected

Overbooked and kept money

  • 1 of 5

Family planned a ski trip. Grandson was deploying to Afghanistan. Booked reservation and sent payment in October 2016. Owner called 12/31/16, stated that he had overbooked and could not take possession until the following day. Panic, because all reservations had been made. Thought we could get 5 rooms at hotel to make it work. Children and grandchildren couldn't make it work. Long story but had to do something else. Owner would not refund money. Don't be fooled when he asks you to book directly with him and not through VRBO. He will tell you he can save you money by directly dealing with him. You can't buy travel insurance by dealing with him directly. Thought he was an honest man.

Quiet, luxurious, breath taking views.

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in this lovely place three separate times. The house is always clean and completely stocked. Casa Verde is a luxurious, spacious, comfortable home with quiet well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. It offers awesome views you can enjoy while lounging on the patio or in the living room, relaxing in the hot tub, or enjoying a fabulous meal in the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped making it a pleasure to fix a simple snack or gourmet meal.

The location was perfect for us, close to town and right on the way to the ski resort. An abundance of fantastic restaurants, great shopping, and outdoor activities are minutes away.

The thing I like best is the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the home. The least, having to leave!

Beautiful, Peaceful Taos Adobe

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 13 family and friends enjoyed a wonderful President's weekend at the Casa Verde. Located on a large quiet lot about 4 miles north of the plaza, this spacious and comfortable home provided a great base for exploring the Taos Pueblo, galleries, museums (10 minute walk to the impressive Millicent Rogers Museum), and outdoor activities including hiking, downhill skiing and snowshoeing. The house is beautifully furnished with large welcoming bedrooms and common areas. We cooked several large group meals in the well equipped chef's kitchen. The radiant heat makes for consistently cozy temperatures throughout the house. Everyone enjoyed night-time soaks in the hot tub under a sky full of stars. Fantastic view of Taos Mountain to the east, sunsets to the west. Helpful property owner and property caretaker provided lots of information on the house and area, answered all our questions, and made us feel very welcome.

Very Pleased

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a very enjoyable week over Christmas at Casa Verde. We were a total of 13, including 5 children. We found Casa Verde to be spacious yet extremely conducive to intimate gatherings for games or just conversation. Most times we found ourselves hanging out in the kitchen. Everyone also was very appreciative of the of the privacy that the 5 large bedrooms provided. Joan hooked us up with the most helpful lady that preprovisioned the kitchen per our list. That was a big help and freed up everyones time for the reason we were there, FUN. Thanks Joan for making Casa Verde possible.
