Overview

About the property

This cute cottage was originally built on Sullivan’s Island and moved in the 1940’s across the Pitt Street Bridge to it’s current location in Old Mt. Pleasant just off of Coleman Blvd. Numerous additions and updates have created a spacious 3 bedroom and 3 full bath house with a large open flow family/kitchen/dining room combination. A large 16x16 sqft screened porch overlooks a lovely 5000 gallon Koi pond with lush tropical landscaping and a flowing waterfall. Two large bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the house and each has an updated private bath with a walk-in shower. The 3rd smaller bedroom is adjacent to the original master bedroom and has access to a hall bath with tub/shower combination. Perfect location – about 2.5 miles North of the Ravenel Bridge and the same distance east of the Ben Sawyer Bridge to Sullivan’s Island. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are within walking distance and the beach is fun bike ride away. If traveling with small children, please consider if this is the right house for your family because of the koi pond.

Superb property, well appointed with multiple comfortable sitting areas. Perfect layout for families or groups. Super comfortable beds. Outside area by the fish pond was a destination by itself!

Mom's Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Three friends who met through our children came together for a few days sightseeing in Charleston. The home was perfect, giving each of us our own room and an open area to enjoy the evenings. Location was close to everything and easy to get to. The home is spotless and well decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, the koi pond and the sound of the water while sitting in the sun room is divine. 😊?

Thank you!

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved this property. The owners were super easy to work with and very responsive. The master bed was extremely comfortable. Very charming, spacious and clean home in a wonderful location. Close to Patriots Point and Sullivan’s Island. The backyard with the Koi pond was very relaxing. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Exceeds Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely wonderful location, quick uber trip to downtown Charleston. We love Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms. We loved this cottage situated in a cute neighborhood, part of historic Mt. Pleasant. We walked all around looking at the cute renovated bungalows, historic homes along Pitt Street, down to the water. It was a quick drive for us to the historic Pitt Street Bridge, lots of history and bird life here.

The house offers a lot of charm! Nicely decorated without clutter and extremely comfortable. Very clean with an open spacious floor plan. This worked for us as we were in town for a family reunion and had family in for a dinner party. There were plenty of comfy seats and everyone mingled throughout the house and out on to the oversized screen porch. Seating outside below the stars, in front of the fire pit and koi pond was delightful.

The kitchen had plenty of counter space and was stocked very well, it lacked nothing! The dishes, silverware, glasses were plentiful and although I barely used them, I couldn't help but notice how great the new set of pots were! The Charbroil grill was in near new condition.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are most important to us when we are traveling. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space for our own personal items. Two master bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house with a 3rd queen bedroom next to the original master. Two bathrooms are new and one was very nicely updated. Linens were lush and plentiful.

Over all, the cleanliness of this charming house was great and it is well taken care of. Our host and hostess (definitely with the mostess) were very responsive to questions and communicated with us easily. We would stay here again and we highly recommend it!

Perfect house, location and neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful house for a family of four. So much is within 5 miles of the house including the beach. We rented bikes from Mike’s up the street and loved riding in the old village and around Shem Creek. Expedition Outfitters offers great kayak tours. Will definitely stay again.
