Nice, cozy house with comfortable beds. Not in walking distance from beach!
Walking distance to charming down town Main Street. Good bus system on main to navigate to all local beaches. Air port is close, good and bad. Planes take off and land all day long from 6:30am to 11:00pm. Kind of fun to watch them but loud. The house is in a good neighborhood and Main Street is filled with good restaurants. I would stay here again.
Thank you Teal. We would love to have you back. -Jeff
I LOVED this place! Nice neighborhood!
Thank you Natosha, Hope to host you again soon. -Jeff
Great home in El Segundo
We enjoyed our stay at Cottage by the beach in El Segundo. The home is clean, comfortable and inviting. Although it does not have Air Conditioning, we were comfortable in the amazing CA weather. Please note that the home is in the flight plan of LAX.
Thank you so much Linda! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. AC is on its way!! Hope to see you again soon. -Jeff
Loved this cute and cozy little beach cottage! We felt very comfortable in the neighborhood! My daughter and I went running every evening while the rest of the family enjoyed the coziness of the cottage. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nice distance to all the beaches and touristy places we visited.
Jenny, Thank you so much for your kind review we are so happy you enjoyed our little town. Hope to host you again in the future!-Jeff
Cute house in a cute town
Loved the cute decor of the house and it’s in a great location! El Porto beach is the best because it’s not commercialized like some of the other beaches. The surfing is great for beginners there. We felt safe in El Segundo and in a good central location to do stuff both in L.A. and beaches south. The only thing I would make people aware of is if you are sensitive to heat this house (like many in L.A. area) does not have an air conditioner. It cools off at night with the windows open, but some are not always comfortable with this. But beds are comfortable and there are plenty of beach towels it’s worth the stay!
Thank you so much for your review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to hosting you again in the future. -Jeff
Let's start with the positive. This beach cottage is cute and cozy. Well decorated and in a great neighborhood, filled with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable (towels, pots and pans, laundry, soap, etc.). Nice yard with citrus trees, patio deck and BBQ. There was even a couple of bottles of wine left on the counter, we enjoyed one. Unfortunately after spending $2k to stay there for the week, we were left pretty disappointed with the experience overall. When we arrived the small outdoor trash can was completely full (probably from previous guests) and had fallen over into the street. I spent the first moments of my vacation picking up the mess. There was also a lot of random trash in the driveway/side yard, once again probably from the previous guests. The shower/tub was very backed up and did not drain well. Showering in ones own filth is a major pet peeve for my wife. Owners were available and responsive to the issue, however the 'solve' was to have liquid plumber delivered to the house by Postmates. We poured down the drain and waited a few hours, the issue was only marginally better. The line clearly needs to be snaked by a professional. Also, there were some ants in the laundry area when we first arrived. It was an uncharacteristically hot week in the Southbay and the ant problem only got worse and worse troughout the week. Once again owners were responsive to issue, but recommended resolution was to have ant traps delivered by Postmates to which I did not respond. Cute, cozy cottage in good area and owners are pleasant and responsive. Home could be better taken care of, however, and issues should be addressed with more permanent professional solutions and not Postmates deliveries. Place needs a plumber evaluation and needs to be sprayed ants.
Thank you so much for your feed back, We are sorry that your stay started off with picking up rubbish & we hope that you had a good vacation aside from the issues you mentioned. The lessons we are learning is not to schedule guests too close together (like we did in July). & we can't get someone in to fix issues before the next guests arrived. Lesson learned and issues are being fixed & we are improving our scheduling. Again, thank you for your feed back and safe travels. -Jeff
