Our apartment is big (approx 170square meter) and sunny facing trees on avenue Bosquet, (near the Seine). It is split into two levels at the top floors (5th and 6th) of a modern building with an elevator and very convenient; there are 3 bathrooms (2 bathtubs with shower inside, 1 shower, 3 toilets, 5 washbasins), 1 breakfast room/library, 1 dining room, 1 very big living room…
There are 4 bedrooms and all bedrooms have AC:
-1st level (5th floor): parents' bedroom 1: one double bed 160x200. Close to the BR, a separated WC, one shower, one washbasin in the same room and another invité washbasin in an another room
-2nd level: upstairs (6th floor) with an inner staircase: 3 bedrooms:
Bedroom 4: two single beds 2x 80x200; the 2 single beds could be put together to have one double bed. An extra bed could be added in case of a 9th person as the room is big.
Bedroom 3 (the one in the corner): two single beds 2x 90x200; the 2 single beds could be put together to have one double bed.
Bedroom 2: two single beds 2x 90x200 (the photos of Bedroom 2 shows one bed and a small grey sofa: it depends on the number of guests, either it stays like that, or we put a second real bed in the bedroom instead.
One complete bathroom (tub/shower, 2 washbasins), separate WC: the grey one on photos
Another complete bathroom (tub/shower, 1 washbasin), WC inside: the beige one on photos
As a résumé: 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 tub/showers and a shower, 5 washbasins), 3 WC.
The 7th arrondissement is the most upper class area of Paris, and our apartment is located at the beginning of Avenue Bosquet near the Seine, at the corner of a small private pedestrian street, 7mns walk from the Eiffel tower, 10 mns walk Champs Elysees, 5 mns from metro station Alma Marceau and 1 mn walk from RER (same as metro but faster) “Pont de l'Alma”: it goes straight to Versailles or le Musée d'Orsay. The metro is the one which goes to big shopping stores...
One taxi station just downstairs and a lot of busses direct to all railway stations, big department stores (Le Printemps/Galeries Lafayette), Montparnasse tower, Saint Germain des Prés, Trocadéro… + 1 bike station downstairs!
NEIGHBOURHOOD/RESTAURANTS (better to book a few days in advance ):
The neighbourhood is residential and 4mn walk from the really nice and famous pedestrian street rue Cler where all the food markets, shops and cafés are: You will love it!!! (see on Google map); Even closer, you have rue Saint Dominique where you have a lot of clothes shopping. Several bakeries are very close especially the one Avenue Rapp, just in front of our street, so it’s very practical for buying croissants and baguette in the morning.
Next to the closest bakery (above), you have a very good Italian restaurant, and another very good restaurant with French specialities (tête de cochon and so on...), good quality, not too expensive (menu approx. 35€)
In the same block, you have “le Café de l’Alma”, the most fashion café of the area, but quite expensive and quite posh (snob), but funny to watch people and impressive cars…you can only take a coffee instead of having a whole meal!
And –where I like to go only for the spot because it's not very good and expensive - the restaurant called “Les Ombres” at the top floor of the Museum of Quay Branly (Tribal Art, just one street away from our apartment). It’s unusual, there is a wonderful view on Eiffel tower, the Seine River, and Paris.
In the same style but far away, do not miss restaurant “Georges”, top floor of Georges Pompidou museum (Beaubourg), just for an orange juice at the top floor terrace outside.
Top floor restaurant near our home just across the river, avenue Montaigne “Maison Blanche”, very nice terrace outside, view on the river…
Try also the “1728 restaurant”, rue d’Anjou, 75008, inside is fabulous, XVIII° century, fireplace…
And recently, I have booked for guests coming 2 restaurants for them: “Spring” and “Bones” with opened kitchens but I never went there personally!
In conclusion, our street and the streets nearby are calm which is great but very close you will be able to find everything for your daily life and a true Parisian way of life.
