Steps away from Old Town Historic State Park and MTS(Metro transit center to downtown and other connecting San Diego Areas). Convenient and private. Each separately rented Vacation Bungalow is pictured. Each unit comes with a small yard and a front patio porch to relax and enjoy the morning coffee or the evening sun. Each Newly remodeled unit is cozy & comfortable and can accommodate up to 4 pl. (so if both are rented they can hold up to 8pl.) They are rented separately. Each unit is only 350 sq. ft. Beautiful accommodations. Bathroom (shower/sink and toilet) and Kitchenette (sink, mini fridge and microwave). On site laundry available, one secured parking space. Breakfast is available at Congress Café, two doors over.
We offer HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime. We are pet friendly but require a deposit. No daily maid service. Pictures of Property show both units.

Check in after 3 p.m. – Let us know when you arrive in San Diego.
Check out by 11 a.m. – I could arrange for a late check-out if there are no other bookings.
Single/double occupancy $149 plus tax / night
3 Person Booking $169 plus tax / night
4 Person Booking- Max occupancy - $189 plus tax / night
A $200 deposit is required in addition to rent. The $200 deposit is due with the signed contract within 5 days of booking. This is in addition to the total rent due and after your arrival is converted to a damage deposit. The total amount of rent is due 30 days prior to check-in. If the full amount is not paid in 30 days prior to check-in, the booking will be cancelled.
If a personal check is returned to us for non-sufficient funds, you will be charged $25.
No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason.
No cancellations due to weather.
Cancellations received up to 60 days prior to arrival, ½ of deposit is forfeited.
Cancellations received up to 30 days prior to arrival full deposit is forfeited.
Cancellations received up to 30 days prior to arrival will forfeit full deposit and owner will attempt to book another party for the same time period. Rent refund will be based upon full or pro-rated substitute rental.
The $200 deposit will be refunded to you within ten (10) days of your departure provided the following provisions are met:
• No damage is done to the inside or outside perimeter of the property.
• No linens, décor or household items are missing.
• House has not been smoked in.
• No pets have been brought in without permission.
SHORT TERM RENTAL AGREEMENT
1.- I, the undersigned, renting 2627 Congress Street, San Diego, CA, 92110 for vacation or recreational purposes, agree to the following:
2.- I am responsible for full payment for the entire rental period: a $300 deposit being due with the return of this agreement and the rent being due 30 days prior to occupancy. Payments must be made by check or money order and payable to Old Town Gift Co Inc.
3.- The dates requested have been blocked off the calendar but the reservation is not confirmed until the Rental Agreement has been returned and the deposit cleared.
4.- Failure to make payments when due will result in cancellation of this agreement and forfeiture of deposit.
5.- I, our guests and visitors, agree to not smoke in the cottage or bring any pesticides or cleaning products. There will be no loud or large parties in the unit or on the premises. All listed previously will maintain the premises in good order and appearance and conduct themselves in a manner inoffensive to the neighbors.
6.- I, our guests and visitors, agree that any drug use of premises for any immoral or unlawful purposes, violation of any law or ordinance on or about the premises will immediately terminate our occupancy and rental agreement of these premises.
7.- You must be at least 25 years of age to rent this home and provide proof of age, if requested.
8.- The home has a maximum occupancy of four (4) guests. Renters who exceed the occupancy limit and falsify occupancy information at the time of reservations are subject to eviction.
9.- Owner or Owner’s Agent may enter the premises immediately in the event of an emergency, in order to perform necessary repairs and/or maintenance, and with 24 hours -notice, for normal maintenance.
10.- No pets on the premises except Seeing Eye Dogs. Guests who bring a pet or pets without approval will forfeit their security deposit and may be evicted from the property.
11.- I shall be responsible for all damages, breakage and/or loss to the premises, except normal wear and tear and unavoidable causalities (deemed by the manager of the property) which may result from occupancy. I agree that all pipes, wires, glass, plumbing, household contents, etc., other equipment and fixtures will be in the same condition as at the beginning of our stay. Damage by unavoidable fire and casualty is the only exception.
12.- The property will be left in the same good and habitable condition as when I arrive. Any damage or notable conditions found upon arrival will be reported to the Property Manager within eight (8) hours of Occupancy. I understand the property will be inspected and cleaned prior to my arrival and when I depart. I agree that repair costs for any damages will be deducted from my deposit.
13.- I agree to indemnify and save Owner and property Manager harmless from any liability to tenant, tenant’s guests or invitees for any injury, loss or damage to any person or property arising from any use or misuse made on the leased premises by my guests or invitees.
14.- This is a non-smoking home. Smoking is not permitted on patio either- only outside the gate. Cigarette butts are to be disposed of properly and not left anywhere on the property. I agree that any violation of the smoking policy will incur a $50.00 fine and if additional cleaning is necessary to remove smoke odors from the house and/or linens, costs will be subtracted from my deposit.
15.- Prior to vacating the unit, Tenant is responsible to remove all the trash and recyclables, all dishes and cookware should be washed and put away and return any furniture that was moved back to its original position. Beds may be left unmade and sheets and pillowcase left on.
16.- The Owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the tenant. However, any items left behind may be returned to Tenant for the cost of postage.
17.- Maid service is provided before and after your visit, however, no daily maid service will be provided.
18.- This agreement may not be assigned or the property be sublet, and is for tenant’s use only. No changes of locks of the unit is permitted. I will not use the premises as a location for amateur or professional film/video without prior consent and arrangement with property Manager.
19.- I agree to leave all keys provided when I depart or I will pay for replacement of these items.
20.- There will be a $5 replacement fee of any keys lost.
Force Majeure: There may be circumstances beyond our control, in which the property might not be available for your booking. Examples of these include (but are not limited to) destruction of severe damage to the property. In the event of Force majeure, we will refund all monies paid. This will be the full extent of our liability to you in such circumstances, and we will not be responsible for any other costs connected with any such cancellation, howsoever arising.

What makes this Bungalow unique
The front outside patio is one for sitting relaxing the evening sun and watching the on-goings of Old Town. The units are newly remodeled and comfy, quiet and relaxing. Close to ALL from bike riding to Mission Bay. Two blocks from the MTS trolleys public transportation that takes you all over San Diego. Conveinent, beautiful, and enjoyable. We LOVE PETS. each unit has a small back yard fenced that your pet can run around in.

Perfect Old Town Location!
Very cozy place with perfect amenities for a weekend getaway! Karen and Andres are wonderful hosts, and their place has everything you need. Clean and comfortable. Amazing porch for people watching. Super close to Old Town San Diego and minutes away from everything else! We will be back!
Perfect for a weekend getaway! We went for vacation over Easter weekend. The bungalow was beautifully furnished, and just steps away from cafes, restaurants, and shops in Old Town. Great location, comfortable room, and top-notch hospitality. Karen & Andreas were very accommodating. They met us at the bungalow to show us around. Their cafe is 2 doors down and is lovely. They let us keep our bags in the office after check out so we didn’t have to bring them around with us before our afternoon flight. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave! We would highly recommended this great rental.
Amazing location, small and cozy
This is an ideally located bungalow! We spent a week here and was within walking distance to grocery stores (highly recommend Sprouts for produce!), many Mexican restaurants in Old Town, and the transit depot. We easily transited from as far as the edge of La Jolla to the border. The place itself is very small. We loved the patio and the couch was quite comfy. There was enough blankets during the colder season, as well as two electric fireplaces. There was lots of storage space for putting your items. Would have liked more hangers! The cafe next door is a nice touch, and you get 15% off. Great wifi and TV. The downsides are that there is not enough space in the kitchen/bathroom area to do any big meals. There is a microwave and a mini fridge, as well as utensils and plates. The shower is quite small, and the door between the bed and the bathroom isn’t soundproof! Perfect for a couple, or really close friends. Would highly recommend for ease of transit!!!

We will definitely get more hangers...and will try and soundproof the one doorway. Also we are putting in more of kitchen type items such as an electric burner/toaster and coffeemaker! Making 350 sq. ft. with all the amenities one wants and needs can be challenging ...but with a little Quirkiness we will try so that we can have a better efficient use of space!. Thanks for the tips
Newly remodeled Old Town Bungalow/ Karen and Andres
I cannot say enough exceptional compliments for this beautiful Old Town Bungalow that my daughter and I got the privilege to rent while we vacationed in San Diego!
It was very centrally located to everything we went to, and we did tons of stuff in the 4-5 days that we stayed there. Karen and Andres; the owners were both so kind and helpful and their food and coffee shop/restaurant 1 door down was AMAXING! We felt so special and well cared for; and couldn't help to smile when visiting with them and leaving our safe haven for the days activities.
It was also so nice having 2 separate rooms for sleeping and Karen decorates this bungalow with flare and artistic talent throughout this beautiful bungalow. The patio as well was so relaxing and peaceful, with a gated fence as well, but we never felt unsafe; private parking for our rental car too was such a welcome surprise!
I cannot think of any negative comments since I'd give this an A +++++ rating.

Cozy property, awesome location.
I enjoyed my week at this bungalow. While the shower is a bit small and the space does not lend itself to meal prep, the comfortable bed, front and back porches more than made up for it. It is in awesome location for all there is to do in Old Town, the transit station with, the trolley, the Coaster, Amtrak, and a plethora of buses is 3 blocks away. I went all over San Diego, To Tijuana and Carlsbad without renting a car. Safe area, clean property, reasonable price, friendly and responsive hosts. Old Town has many restaurants and cuisines within steps and a few blocks away.

San Diego Comfort
The property is perfectly located for easy driving access to any place around. Old Town is just across the street and offers many unique points of historic interest and modern conveniences within walking distance. It is quiet and extremely comfortable as a home base and the Congress Cafe 2 doors away is extremely convenient for starting the day and for mid day lunch and snacks. Awesome food and coffee. Extremely pleasant experience with the property owners, Karen and Andres. Such nice folks. It was a great trip and great experience all around. Thanks very much!

ANKA B&B is centered right in the heart of Old Town San Diego Ca. A World wide Tourist destination for travelors. Museums, shopping dining and entertainment at your fingertips. This is all zoned as a business and residential-however it is a quiet area with the exception of a train whistle at times. It is an area where you can be involved in lots of activities and have public transportation close by for access to SDCC for business conventions or trade shows.
Additional information about rental rates
There are 2 B&B 2627 Congress Street #1(sleeps up to 4) 2627 Congress Street #2(sleeps up to 4) A Family can rent the whole house bungalow or they can be rented as separate quarters. Please see ANKA's contract for the rates per person occupancy. They are individual and separate suites with no adjoining door between the 2. They are both private and have their own front terrace patios as well as private yard space for both. Both sleep up to 4 ppl.. Queen bed in one room and 2 twin beds in the living room area.
