Cute somewhat remote cottage with water access and an incredible view.
Our visit was a 3 day get away to the west coast of Vancouver island. The gravel road seemed long at first but the directions were good and we arrived at a little community called Salmon Beach. The cottage was newly renovated and very comfortable for the 3 of us. A nice wrap around deck allows a 180 degree view of the ocean and surrounding area. We were blown away by the incredible view from the upstairs master bedroom - amazing to wake up to a beautiful sunrise in late September. We brought all of our supplies with us and only drove into Ucluelet on the rainy day. We were disappointed that we couldn't drink the water, but lots of drinking water was provided. We had an inflatable kayak and were able to launch it at high tide from the beach access. A restful time with lots of rocky beach walks and kayaking. A bit pricey.
Boat launch from May-Sept. Town of Ucluelet is approx 40 minutes away
