Idyllic Location

  • 5 of 5

Our sublime 10-night stay ends with such a sense of aloha. This location (Moloa'a Bay) is idyllic, one of the most beautiful, rare places we've ever been. The beach is never crowded. We saw turtles and monk seals from the beach, as well as a wide variety of fish (even a moray eel) while snorkeling. Peter was great to deal with, answering questions and providing useful information (and even a basting brush!) promptly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Off the beaten path but close enough for trips into town in either direction.

Perdect home in the perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here. From the yard to the sand was only 50 steps away. The ocean breeze and the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the beach were so relaxing. The home had all the amenities you could want. We especially loved the exterior deck. You can't go wrong by staying here!

Couldn't Have Chosen a Better Place!

  • 5 of 5

Six family members and myself, including two teenagers, spent a week in Peter's beach house. My husband and I had stayed further down the street three years earlier so we knew this was where we wanted to bring our family. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach, and the house had everything you could possibly need. Peter was very accommodating and answered emailed questions I had right away. He made everything very easy and pleasant.

The house is in Moloaa Bay, which is about 10-15 minutes from Princeville and Foodland and mostly everything else you would need. If you go the other direction, about the same distance, there is another Foodland and other shops. We went to several farmers markets and bought fresh fruit and vegetables.

The beach/bay (Moloaa Bay) on which the house is located was a great place to snorkel and we saw sea turtles and monk seals both in the water and lying on the beach several times.

The house itself was perfect for all of us and always had a nice breeze. The front living area opened up to the deck, and even though we had that open a lot of the time, we didn't have any flies or bugs or anything come in. We did close it at night, but the windows were always open so we always had a breeze. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms, so you were able to sleep comfortably, as well. All in all, our stay was great, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, or to recommend the house to anyone who wants to feel like a resident, as opposed to a tourist. Thank you Peter, for making everything so easy and for all your help during our stay.

A LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eight adults and three small children was not interested in a busy vacation. We simply wanted to sit back and enjoy the solitude and unspoiled beauty of Hawaii. We found it at Moloaa Bay. The home was comfortable and ideally situated at the end of a road that not many people traveled. The beach was beautiful and perfect for early morning or evening walks - or swims. We slept with the relaxing sounds of the nearby waves and woke (sometimes) with the aid of a feral rooster which took us city folks back to a different time. The location was central to other interesting areas of the beautiful island and although we visited many, the one week there was just a sample of what it offered. A well written description of its features was provided by the owner and we found it to be very useful and accurate. We hope to return in the future and once again enjoy this experience.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We had never been to Hawaii so before going we researched which island would be best and ended up choosing Kauai. We don't like very touristy things. We feel like hotels and chains don't give us the full experience we desire when traveling. It was me, my husband, our 2 boys aged 1 and 3, my sister n law, and both mother and father n law. The house gave everyone their privacy but also the togetherness we wanted, was located right off the beach, and had a great feeling to it. We were quite active on this one week trip and the house was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of exploring Kauai. We cooked a lot while there and made good use of the deck. This house helped make this the perfect family vacation. Peter was very accommodating and gave us great recommendations of places to visit on the island. The location seemed very convenient for us.
