Beachfront Lazy Bay

  • 4 of 5

Our group was looking for a beachfront property & we found it here! Literally steps from a private secluded beach! Peter was easy to communicate with & provided many options for activities & surrounding shops. There isn't any cell service in the area until you reach the main road, which was a little inconvenient, but understandable due to the location. When we arrived to Kauai, the weather was pretty hot & dry, so the house was very stuffy as there isn't any air conditioning. But there are extra fans that are provided in each room, & of course there's always the option of the beach! My favorite part of our stay was sitting in the open air living room/balcony & enjoying the weather cool down.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words!! The Trade winds rarely stop but they did while you were here - the only way to make it through is to get in the water ! Glad you enjoyed your time here in this secret paradise!

Wonderful Stay in Moloa'a Bay!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our first trip to Hawaii and our lovely (albeit too brief) stay in Kauai at Moloa'a Bay! Steps away from what felt like a private beach, we woke up to watch the sunrise and went out to see the stars every day. The home was exactly as described and Peter was very communicative and made some wonderful suggestions for the area. It did get a little warm in the house at times, but the fans definitely helped to circulate the breeze off the bay. The location was perfect. We went all over the island and nothing felt far away. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Kauai!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind words and for "getting" Moloaa. We too often feel like we have the whole bay to ourselves - like this morning at sunrise! Mahalo

If you enjoy cleanliness don't stay here

  • 2 of 5

We booked this house for the location and on the pictures it showed it was spacious enough for 6 adults the decor was outdated but we didn't mind as we wanted to be by the beach, the atmosphere of Moloaa was great, what we didn't enjoy was the dirt almost everywhere if you are someone who apriciates cleaniliness I don't recommend you sto stay here, some of the dirt we found shown no respect for the guests in my opinion, i.e.: the house rules plastic holder had dead instects and was covered in thick dust so we were unable to hold it to read it, the frezzer had broken pieces of glass, there were bugs inside the kitchen cupboards aswell as grease and dirt, dirty bins in the rooms, 2 used plasters on the bedroom floor which was a carpet! so we tried not to think about what could lay underneath, the chandelier above the dinner table was covered with spiderwebs the above are just some examples of many. And the house apparently was cleaned in the morning before we arrived !

Owner's Response: Thanks for this heads up on our cleaning people. Since we saw you daily I am surprised you would not have mentioned the problem - we would have welcomed the opportunity to correct the situation ( by text, phone or e mail). We stay incredibly busy and apparently let the ball slip - we apologize - it is not our norm. Mahalo, peter eacott

Wonderful location - canʻt beat it! Great for couples as well as families with small children.

  • 5 of 5

The beach is wonderful - perfect blend of boogie board surf and tranquil sandy areas for young ones. Never crowded. The house has a rustic feel to it. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils and beach towels are plentiful. The rooms can be a bit warm so youʻll need to use the fans (which are also supplied). I would stay here again!

Perfect location! Right in the middle of everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Moloa'a Bay! The location was perfect. Everything we wanted to see was a short beautiful drive away. The Moloa'a beach was just steps away from the house. This was perfect for us especially since we were traveling with children. It was so convenient to just grab some bogie boards and toys and go to the beach. We loved sitting out on the deck every morning and evening and listening to the waves. The area was so quite and peaceful. The house had everything we needed for grilling and cooking. Peter was so helpful with information about local interest and activities. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone traveling to Kauai. Thanks to Peter for all his hospitality :)

Idyllic Location

  • 5 of 5

Our sublime 10-night stay ends with such a sense of aloha. This location (Moloa'a Bay) is idyllic, one of the most beautiful, rare places we've ever been. The beach is never crowded. We saw turtles and monk seals from the beach, as well as a wide variety of fish (even a moray eel) while snorkeling. Peter was great to deal with, answering questions and providing useful information (and even a basting brush!) promptly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Off the beaten path but close enough for trips into town in either direction.
