Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us! It was exactly what we needed. The hot tub was the best place to see the mountain view and I found myself in it even at night to see the stars and mountains lit up. What a breath of fresh air. Town was close enough to visit and we went skiing twice. Enjoyed a 1.5 drive through the smiley mountains to Pigeon Forge, TN...just great & beautiful location.

Beautiful mountaintop view

  • 4 of 5

Just a gorgeous location! Close enough to town to go grocery shopping or dine at a cafe. Mountain views are breathtaking! 18 minute drive to Tube World and Catalahoochie Skiing. 1.5 hour drive through Smokey mountain National Park to Pigeon Forge, if you want to site see. Just what we were looking for! We will be back!

Great value for the dollar!

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic trip - saw lots of elk, beautiful snowy scenery up towards Clingman's Dome, and we were very pleased with the restaurants in the area. The view from this cabin is the best we've ever had, day or night - there is nothing better in this world than sitting in the hot tub on a cold night with the twinkling lights of the town below! The fireplace was awesome and the Staffords provided excellent customer service. The cabin was clean, conveniently located to "downtown" Maggie Valley, and a good value for our dollar. The drive up and down the mountain was quite adventurous, but worth it. I deducted one star because of the carpet (we prefer wood floors, but it was reasonably clean), the less-than-stellar mattresses and because one toilet handle was detached from the flapper (we tried to repair but only had a piece of string to work with). With a few cosmetic upgrades and better mattresses and bedding, this cabin could probably rent for twice what we paid.

Holiday Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Spent Thanksgiving weekend with family. Cabin was very clean. Cozy with all the amenities of home. Great views. Nice hot tub. Grandchildren loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Would definitely book again. It is indeed a "Slice of Heaven" with "$1,000,000" views.

On top of the world!!

  • 5 of 5

Stumbled upon this jewel searching through VRBO...and boy were we lucky! My wife and I needed a long weekend away from life and kids to recharge. This was the perfect destination. The cabin is simple, but well appointed. Ample space...comfortable bed...all the kitchen basics...Wifi and Direct TV. But the greatest asset of this property is the deck...with its views...and the hot tub! This 'Slice of Heaven' was exactly what the Doctor ordered. And the views....$1 million is an understatement. BOOK THIS PLACE NOW!! You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful view of Maggie Valley

  • 4 of 5

Spectacular view, great getaway, very quiet and peaceful. Happen to be there on July 4th and were able to get a clear view of the fireworks from the porch. Relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed every day of our vacation.
