Cute house, clean and just a short walk to beach! The police station is close so it's an added safety.
Neat and clean and close to the beach
A short walk from the unit is the restaurant right across the street with many tables right on the beach!
Perfect place to be by the beach. Very clean & cozy cottage. Will definitely stay again here on my next trip to Anna Maria Island. 😊
Great location and cute cottage!
We loved how close it was too the beach and the shops nearby. Food was easily accessible. The cottage had very comfortable beds and was perfect for a weekend stay. The bathroom is a little tiny but it did the job for the couple nights we were there. We would definitely stay there again!
Value OK, with pluses & cons April 18, 19
Two blocks away from beach. Bathroom too small, no place to put anything down. Had to use kitchen sink in order to put my toilet kit down somewhere.
Dining table with two not comfortable stools. Bulbs missing. Replace two very small Ice trays with larger ones.
Pluses 3 TV's, wifi all working fine. AC works fine. Good Location. Nice spacious backyard with large table & chairs & barbeque. Has washer & dryer. Kerig Coffee machine with lots of free kerig cups but no decaf. Parking 2 vehicles. Police station one block away. Very pleasant female Mgr. next store for questions.
We will replace the ice trays immediately thank you for the suggestion.
Very comfortable accommodations for my family of four (a few improvement ideas)...
The cottage was clean, nicely decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything is new and the decor gives it an appropriate beach/nautical theme. We found the neighborhood to be very quiet and liked having a very close walk to the beach. The three TVs in the two bedrooms and living room were a nice feature (especially for our kids), as were the washer and dryer on the back porch which led to a sizable backyard with a barbecue grill and outside eating table with chairs. A pleasant extra: a single serve coffee machine with assorted coffee pods in the kitchen/living room.
How to make things a bit better?
An iron and ironing board would have been nice; plenty of room in the hall closet for that. Improved door locks, for internal and external peace of mind (even though a police station is down the street). The keypad entry mechanism on the front door only locks the door knob itself. What's disconcerting is that the front door doesn't shut tight into the door jam and wiggles enough that a credit card likely gains entry by pushing on the door knob's slanted latch. The front door has a bolt lock you can bolt from the inside, but you cannot use it to bolt lock the door with a key from the outside. The back door lacks a bolt lock, and only the door knob itself locks (there is no key for this door). The area is likely safe, but we chose to lock our valuables in the trunk of our rental car.
There is also no lock on the sliding bathroom door: a bathroom door needs to have a lock! The bathroom is tight but workable. There was no place for the soap in the shower stall: a hanging shower head basket easily addresses that. Adding a wall shelf just above the toilet for toiletries, etc. would alleviate the lack of space in the sink area, which is jammed up against the shower stall. And with no real space to hang wet towels (other than off the side of the shower stall which then crowds access in the sink area), perhaps a half dozen hooks in the hallway for towels and wet swim suits, etc., might be a helpful feature.
I'm not nitpicking here, but actually interested in making this newly renovated property a more perfect rental. My wife truly loved the space itself and gave me huge kudos for finding it (so much better than an area motel we stayed in last time). We would definitely rent this property again the next time we visit our snow bird parents. The owner was also very helpful when we had to change stay dates after our airline altered its schedule.
That you for all the wonderful comments. I am heading ot Home Depot now to get the things you suggested. Thank you again
