Great place for a relaxing stay ~ making lots of fun memories!!!

  • 5 of 5

Where to start!? This cabin was the perfect place to have our annual family’s Girl Trip (three generations of girls). There were many endearing messages throughout to know it was a home that had been filled with love and laughter over the years.

There was plenty of room on three floors, to read quietly, watch a movie, or let the children play in the basement game room ~~~ along with an adjoining bedroom with a bunk bed (a BIG hit!). If this wasn’t enough, we could relax on the huge back deck, sitting among the tree tops... The skylights and windows let light in from all directions, making the atmosphere always cheerful. (This home has two fireplaces and would be splendid in the winter!)

The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needed to have the comforts of home. We had many fun meals together, even a birthday party for our little three-year-old.

We were close to fun destinations including Hayesville’s Fires Creek, tubing and shopping in Helen, GA. Shopping in Murphy gave us opportunities to get all the supplies we needed.

Our family would want you to know how grateful we were to have this opportunity to make so many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

5-star property!

  • 5 of 5

Our group was there for a gals getaway vacation. Owners are quick to respond to any question in preparation for the trip. The pictures don't do justice to the mountain view, but the deck is where to enjoy the outdoors. Each floor (3) has bedroom and its own bathroom and television, great for 3 couples, girls getaways, even teens, as the bottom floor is great for teens. The house is clean and well maintained . Decor is warm and inviting. Very comfortable furniture. The town of Murphy is nearby and worth experiencing. We would stay here again. Highly recommend.

comfortable cabin with all the conveniences

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Entry access was problem-free and parking was convenient. The house was clean and had lots of natural light. Plenty of indoor spaces to spread out and kids could play while I read a book. The kitchen is well stocked & the fridge is Top Notch. The owners had very quick response when we had a water pressure issue and resolved it within an hour. Overall, it is a lovely cabin and the owners have put a lot of thought and love into setting it up.

Two things to note: 1) There is a $25 fee if you do not want to haul your trash out with you. I do not remember reading that ahead of time. 2) I do not think it should be listed as "river access" - the access point was a drive down the windy mountain road and has many signs stating "private property" and "you are being filmed" at the gazebo, so I didn't feel welcome to just drive up and sit & relax while my girls played in the water. Maybe if we had a dashboard pass for the car or something confirming that we were paying guests, so people wouldn't be glaring suspiciously. These two things are not deal-breakers, just two pieces of info that I would want to know before renting.

Relaxing, inviting beautiful view!

  • 4 of 5

The View was breathtaking even in the rain, would advise only three couples to stay there. The bunk beds are really ideal for children. Accessibility to town and local attractions very easy. If you're a fisherman would advise hiring a local guide as my husband did, leaving him with a wonderful experience. The house was warm and inviting, the furniture comfortable. Having three bathrooms is a bonus!
