Very beautiful property. The view was incredible.
I was there for my daughters wedding so I was in and out quite a bit. I love to hike. I enjoyed starting the morning out each day with a nice hike. The first day I hiked to the top of Bald Head mountain. What an exhilarating walk and view at the top! My mother enjoyed her coffee every morning on the deck.
The mornings and evenings were fine temperature wise. late afternoons the heat would crank up o the 80's and that's not real comfortable for me. Other than that, a wonderful stay. And I would book the property again.
Amazing getaway that is great for both staying at the house or as a place to stay while you explore
Our Families were pleasantly surprised the moment we stepped inside the house. It was well equipped for cooking, digital entertainment, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Our initial thoughts were that we didn’t want to go do some of the activities we had planned because the house was so nice. We did manage to get out, taking advantage of the short drive to great food in Asheville, the Sierra Nevada brewery, and the Biltmore Estate. This cabin truly accentuated our stay. The owners were a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate to book again.
Wonderful cabin, wonderful mountain
We really enjoyed our visit. This was our third cabin rental and by far, our favorite. The cabin is more spacious than a lot of three bedroom /3 bath condos. I especially appreciated the large, well stocked kitchen. Our hosts, Leslie and Tim Donovan, were very attentive to our needs. We will be back soon. In fact, we already have two more trips in mind!
This cabin in the mountains is a relaxing retreat with everything we had hoped for.
Real deal! We had a great stay that was more laid back then most of our vacations. First of all, the cabin is awesome. Really enjoyed the hot tub and shooting pool with the family. The cabin is well stocked and has everything you may need. Would like to say we took advantage of the hiking or outdoors but we never got to it. We enjoyed the Mother Earth News Fair in Asheville and had lunch at a nice restaurant called Fatz where we got introduced to Calabash Chicken. Very peaceful and quiet and highly recommended.
Very clean and lovely home in a beautiful setting.
We enjoyed our stay. Weather was up and down but provided us some downtime indoors as well as some outdoor activities when temperatures were nicer. Would recommend the VRBO and location.
We loved our week at the cabin and the accommodations were excellent!
Our week-long stay at the cabin was fantastic - everything we’d hoped for and then some. Leslie and Tim were ultra-responsive. The cabin accommodations were excellent, offering plenty for our family of five to do inside and out. The only drawback was a very leaky set of windows in the downstairs (bedroom and garage) during a middle-of-the-night thunderstorm. We used a bucket to collect the rain streaming in the bedroom window and hope that the seams (visible on the upper outdoor deck) can be repaired soon so this beautiful cabin will not sustain long-term damage.
Thanks for the information about the leak . We will attend to this issue as soon as possible. We are glad you had a nice week though! Leslie
We are located in a gated mountain community where you will have access to a pool, tennis courts, golf, country club restaurant, and fitness center. There are also kid's camps, horseback riding, and hiking close by. The Appalachian Trail is easily accessible within the community and offers a short hike where you can see long range views of 5 states.
