Beautiful and cozy cottage, wonderful garden and amazing views! Quick walk to the beach and food.
We had a fantastic stay here! Celebrated my girlfriend’s 30th and got engaged. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Thank you Tim. Fell in love with Stinson Beach. Your garden apartment was everything and more than the pictures and descriptions. We only wish that we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back and hope the Garden Apartment is available 😄
Wonderful cottage-like home
I enjoyed my stay and the feeling of hospitality
Amazing! Just what I needed!
I wanted a little get away for a weekend to recharge my batteries. I wanted to be near the beach and great hiking. This cottage was perfect! I loved the welcoming garden and the homemade granola treat waiting for me that I ate for a late afternoon snack. There was also some granola bars, fruit, and a bottle of wine - how thoughtful!
My first night I walked down to the beach and watched the beautiful sunset and then walked to the Parkside restaurant for dinner. I then came back and read my book on the front porch in the rocking chair listening to the ocean and then moved inside by the fireplace. The next day, I slept in late and then around 1pm left for a hike. I walked to the little corner market and picked up a yummy pre-made sandwich. (They have everything in that corner market so you could come here without bringing any food from home.) I then walked a few blocks to start my hike behind the fire station. It was a gorgeous 4 hour hike up Matt Davis Trail to the Pan Toll station (there is a campground and ranger station there with nice bathrooms you can use) and came back on Steep Ravine trail (there is a wooden ladder you must climb down in one section). I was not hiking fast and stopped to soak up the scenery and take photos. It is a beautiful hike with amazing views and beautiful trees. I then went to the beach for some people watching, a nap in the sand, and then walked all the way down the beach and back while watching the sunset and occasionally walking through the water (carrying my hiking boots and socks). I put my boots back on and walked to the the Sand Dollar Restaurant to pick up a yummy warm spinach salad to go for dinner. They had a lovely jazz band and the menu was nice. I came back and had a lovely warm shower, ate my salad by the fireplace, and did some more reading.
I read in the both the sofa and chair and they are very comfortable. The bed is very comfortable too. The fireplace is gas and is easy to operate with the remote control. I met Tim the first night when I was reading on the porch. He gave me some tips on which hikes to do and offered to show me on the map. The cottage is very sunny and well decorated.
I definitely want to come again. Thank you Tim for opening up your wonderful cottage. It is a little slice of Heaven and just what I needed.
The Lovely Garden apartment was indeed lovely. Very spacious and well appointed to meet all of our needs. We will definitely hope to stay here again on our next trip to the area.
