About Sean Hurley
Sean and Janna Hurley- Owners for 14 years We love the peace and quiet of the Northwoods, and this area in particular. We have fished many of the lakes in Oneida County and the surrounding area, and really like this lake's variety of plentiful fish. It is also nice and close to Lake Tomahawk and Minocqua Lake, for those days when we are looking for an even larger body of water.
Sean Hurley purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Sean Hurley chose Lake Tomahawk
We bought this property because of the location, location, location. It is very easy to get to, just a mile from the town of Lake Tomahawk and only eight miles to Minocqua. The Lake is clear and surrounded by State Owned Land, so it is very tranquil, beautiful, and natural.
What makes this Cabin unique
Privacy, excellent fishing, crystal clear water- The cabin is right on the water and has excellent views over the entire lake. There are several other lakes to explore within minutes of this property. The eagles and loons return every year. The lake is very private with only six other properties around the lake. There is a boat landing right on the property which can accommodate up to a 17' boat.

Views were amazing at night when the sun was setting and in the morning with the fog over the water
Cabin could have been a little cleaner, but was ok, bring your own drinking water. The water in the cabin smells like rotten eggs. The rest was great we had a great time, peaceful week. I would highly recommend Bitters and bull just a little down the road in Lake Tomahawk for a place to eat, the food was amazing.
Great place! Quiet and secluded!
We loved our stay at Hurley's Hideaway on Little Carr Lake! Cottage just feet from waters edge, beach, piers to fish. Wonderful lake to kayak! Full view of lake through our cottage windows. Pictures exactly like cabins and resort. Owner Sean and Caretaker Jason very accommodating! Good tips on fishing! Great place to do a family reunion or a quiet get away. Definitely plan another stay!
Do it again
Awesome adventure, great place to stay
The area is nostalgic for us both so we went for an anniversary getaway and were so pleasantly surprised by the quaint cottages, lovely quiet lake and friendly people..all with easy access to Lake Tomahawk and, a bit further, Minoqua...we loved it and will be back❣️
Very enjoyable getaway! Will stay again!
Jason, Sara, and Shae were so friendly and helpful! They made the visit very enjoyable. I wish we could've stayed longer.
All the water equipment that was available to use was an excellent bonus to the trip. Our 3 children had a great time playing. They also had a great time playing with all the other children that were staying in the other cabins.
We rented the pantoon boat for a day. Also very enjoyable. I only wish it could have been taken to a bigger lake, even for an extra charge.
The cabins were nice. Its a great place to relax with added fun. Its inviting and peaceful. We will definitely book again.
Thanks for having us

Beautiful Resort with Meticulously Maintained Cabins
We rented a 2 bedroom cabin with a couch in the living room that converts to a bed. It was spotless and well equipped with all amenities such as dishes, silverware, pots and pans, cups and many other items. Beds are very comfortable as well as the couch. We had 5 people to stay in the cabin all week and really enjoyed our stay. They also supply you with many boats, kayaks, pedal boats and a swimming deck to play with as well as all the life preserves you need and other water toys for the kids. If you are into fishing, the lake is a well kept secret! We caught many large mouth bass over 14 inches, one was actually over 17 inches and weighed over 3 pounds! There are also lots of little bluegills but also a good amount of larger bluegills as well as crappies, perch and even bullheads! Last year we caught a nice Northern Pike! When fishing most times we caught fish on smaller lures and light line as well as night crawlers and minnows. They supplied firewood for each each night and a special fire pit. All in all it was a very fun week and we plan to come again soon!
