About Kay Crook
I am retired from Ford Motor Co. I worked as an IT project manager. I have been retired for 14 years and now work part time as an online college professor. I love gardening and work very hard at it but gardening in the mountains is a challenge. I have two dogs but guests do not interface with them. I love dogs but because I want to keep the facility pristine for quests who may have allergies, I don't allow any pets of any size. My dogs and I walk the many trails in the Evergreen area.
Kay Crook purchased this House in 2003
Why Kay Crook chose Evergreen
When I retired from Ford I decided to move to Colorado. My son was working in Vail at the time but we decided we wanted to be closer to Denver. He now lives in Denver. I chose this property mainly because of the land. I had 2 horses at the time and wanted a barn with good pasture. The property also had a riding area and round pen but I have since removed the fencing around each due to elk tearing the down the fence several times a year. I no longer have horses but love the property, especially the view out the back.
What makes this House unique
Evergreen is unique because it is close to the mountain and close to Denver. There is something to do all four seasons. Fall is great because it stays fairly warm until mid-November and we have a lovely "leafer" season. Folks form the Midwest and east may scoff but the drives through the mountains in the fall is spectacular as the aspen leaves backed by the deep green of the pines turn from green, to yellow, to gold and even red. Whole sides of mountains will be full of varying colors.
