Cozy Mountain Chalet--Just off Parkway - Easy Access to G'burg & Pigeon Forge
About Geri McBride
I have always loved the Smoky Mountain area & have the best memories of when my Daddy would take the whole family there on yearly trips. I can remember dreaming about how great it would be to live in one of those wonderful mountain cabins when I grew up. This has been a dream of mine that has stayed with me throughtout the years. I now have cabins there and they are very special to me. I love taking care of them all, remodeling, redecorating each one, making them all very special, cozy & comfortable home-away-from-homes for my guests and myself to enjoy. Of course, all of them are pet-friendly because I know how important it is to take your 4-legged best buddies along on vacation.
Geri McBride purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Geri McBride chose Chalet Village
I love the designs of the original Gatlinburg chalets and cabins, this one is an A-Frame design, sets high and is surrounded by beautiful mature trees of the Smoky Mountains and has an ever-rolling creek that you can see and hear from the chalet 24 hours a day. I have been looking for another property in the same area since buying Dusty's TreeHouse and found this one that is located just a half mile down the same road. The location is so convenient and just perfect for visiting Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & Sevierville for shopping, restaurants, events, activities and sight-seeing. as they are all so close-by and easy roads to travel. You can take the Gatlinburg ByPass to miss all the downtown Gatlinburg traffic when going to the chalet or when going back into Pigeon Forge/Sevierville or take the main roads about 2 miles into downtown Gatlinburg. For fun and to miss all the traffic, just turn left and go less than a mile and go to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, park your car and take the glassed-in Arial Tram that will accommodate approximately 120 people and leaves & returns every 20 minutes from early til late everyday for a spectacular bird's eye view of the area. The Ariel Tram will take you right into downtown Gatlinburg and you can also take trolleys there to different parts of the area, if you would like. It is very common to see bears roaming around in the area and 'SomeWhere In Time' is actually in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park SEE MY OTHER PROPERTIES BELOW: Dusty's TreeHouse www.vrbo.com/754962 Chocolate Moose www.vrbo.com/258012 Mystic View www.vrbo.com/601126 Hibernation Hideaway www.vrbo.com/1315513 Lazy River www.vrbo.com/1486080

Great place to stay
Wonderful place to stay!!
Overall we had a great time. Location was very convenient and the sound of the creek across the street was very relaxing. The access to the multiple pools was also very nice. The house was not very clean when we arrived. There were dog food pieces and crumbs on the floor and dust along with cob webs in a lot of places. We bought Clorox wipes and cleaned surfaces along with vacuuming the floors. Also our sheets had dog hair on them when we turned down the bed for the night, so we stripped the bed and washed them. The smoke detectors needed new batteries but when the house manager came to check the hot tub he never bothered to fix them and replace the batteries so we left them unplugged for the week. I would definitely recommend the property it may have just be a lousy cleaning crew for that week.
We really enjoyed staying at this property. It's beautiful and spacious, and has a lovely creek across the road that you can listen to while you swing on the porch. Also, we had great communication with the owner. We'll definitely consider her properties when renting again.
Quiet and very Relaxful. You can hear the creek flowing, which is peaceful.
Very to close to everything that you want to do. Very satisfied and will highly recommend to family and friends. Will definitely stay again.
Peace and Traquility
The property looks pretty much as the pictures show.
The outdoor hot tub could use some repair.
LOL, it's not the hot tub, it is actually the hot tub cover that needs replacing, no amount of repair will help that after a great big ole bear decided to use it as a trampoline & caved it in.. My prior guests saw all the action. A new hot tub cover has already been ordered.
Come sit a spell
Some where in time takes me back to when life was a little less complicated. The owner was very responsive to every need I had. Thanks Geri.its far enough away from downtown to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to be five min away.we seen plenty of wildlife while we were sitting on the front porch which is where we spent most of our time. Come join us on the porch
