Our cute ranch home is located in the Bonanza area of Homestead, Florida. It has been fully remodeled and decorated to enjoy both the comfort and rustic charms of a country property. It has a master bedroom with walking closet and bathroom, a double twin bed room and a third bedroom with a queen size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and beautifully decorated, adjacent you can find the laundry with more custom cabinets and a full size sink. The living room is an open concept area with a large dining room table and chairs. The home has a quaint outdoor dining area with a gazebo surrounded by fruit trees and an amazing Argentinian style barbecue for your parrillada, it has a large solid dining table for your outdoor meals.
You can enjoy the country life while being only thirty minutes away from Miami or Key Largo. Disconnect and relax in an authentic ranch home where you can have breakfast and enjoy looking at our horses or eating fruit from our trees when in season.
The property has a little house totally separated from the main house, it is located at the end next to the barn. We have a married couple who live there and take care of our horses. We also have two black and white friendly dogs living on the property, but they are outside dogs.
Must love animals ❤️🐴🐶

We are Montse and Ivan. I have been an educator for more than twenty years and my husband owns a business. We are very family oriented, and we love the outdoor activities. We are a very traditional family that enjoys the country and likes barbecuing and horseback riding.
Montse purchased this Farmhouse in 2010
Why Montse chose Miami-Dade County
We are a family who enjoys the outdoor activities and we are animal lovers. Buying this property was like a dream come true, we have always wanted to have our own place to keep our horses and enjoy the country life. People in the Redlands area of Homestead are very friendly and family oriented and throughout the years we have made great friends in the area. We go horseback riding along the canals, we host barbecues, visit the nearby winery, eat some pan con bistec at the local market places in Krome Ave. We are very close to the Keys, Everglades National Park, Homestead Raceway, Homestead Rodeo grounds, Robert is Here... and at the same time we are only thirty minutes away from Miami. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the country life, away from the city traffic.

Location is in rural area so not a place to stay if you want to be near everything. (GPS doesnt take you to the correct address). We felt as we were at home. Beautiful country area. Enjoyed listening to all the wildlife early in the morning. Owners very tentative and detailed oriented. We really appreciated all the extra amenities such as toiletries, salt, pepper, coffee, trash bags etc. Its a hassel when you have to purchase these items. We will definitely be back!
Family Spring Break vacation April 2-5 2018
My family has rented homes through VRBO for vacation in the past, and we have always been happy with our choices, but this home by far has been the best house we have stayed at. The house was extremely comfortable, fully stocked, well-maintained, plenty of space, comfortable beds and couch, excellent Direct TV availability in the living room and master bedroom, kitchen was excellent and the house and grounds were very well-maintained and clean. We personally were looking to stay in the country-side and really enjoyed the gardens and the dogs and horse that were friendly and available to be petted, yet also calm and fine on their own as well. The caretakers in the back house were very quiet - we never felt them yet they were friendly and available to help and answer questions as needed. The Redland area is loaded with nurseries, fruit orchards, and many farm houses - getting around was easy since the area is mapped in a grid. Grocery stores were within driving distance and you can always find the basics at the local gas stations as well. My sons and I one day spent an afternoon at Biscayne Park which was about half hour from the house while my husband worked from the house - we swam and also rented a canoe and had a great time - we stopped and had cold coconut water and bought avocados home, we also had a great Cuban panini on the way home. Second day we drove to the Florida Keys - it was a long day and a lot of driving - but well-worth it - we took our time stopping for Cuban lunch, then a swim at the Bahia Honda public beach, and went all the way to Key West which is a lovely town with quaint shops and restaurants and chickens roaming the streets - we had key lime pie at Kermit's which was excellent. Next day we took a trip to Safari Park for a boat ride through the Everglades and a crocodile show which our sons loved. Last day after checking out of the house - we drove into Miami Little Havana for our last Cuban lunch and then took a walk along South Beach. The weather during our stay in early April was awesome - low 80's - warm enough for swimming and shorts yet not melting away. The afternoons at the Deseada house were lovely with comfortable breezes - my husband and I loved sitting out in the porch with the dogs to enjoy a glass of wine. Lovely home - well decorated, a home away from home! Thank you Montse!
Beautiful home, centrally located
Very comfortable home and perfect location for all of the things we wanted to do during our 5 day stay in southern Florida (national parks, beaches, & Key Largo).
The owners were very responsive and pleasant to talk to.
Would absolutely stay here again if we return for another visit.
thank you so much for choosing our home for your stay. You have a beautiful family and it was very nice to have a chance to meet all of you and see that you were really enjoying every moment. I think my dogs are getting very spoiled and they love and enjoy the company.
I am very honored that you decided to stay with us, we love to hear that our guests really feel at home in our home. You are welcome to come back any time!
Take care of yourselves, thank you!!!
Wonderful place to escape the urban hustle and bustle and still have Miami within reach.
We truly enjoyed our weekend stay at La Deseada. Wonderful place to escape the urban hustle and bustle and still have Miami within reach.
The house is beautifully appointed and the horses and pooches provide for added warmth and smiles!
Montse is the ultimate hostess, paying atention to every detail.
Will definitely be back next time we are visiting family and friends in the Miami area!
It was a pleasure having you and your family as our guests. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, that's what we are here for.
Looking forward to future stays here in Florida.
Clean comfortable home
Nice home. Well stocked with everything that you may need. Enjoyed the horses and the dogs.
Dear Suzanne and friends,
Thank you so much for staying at our place and for your nice review. We hope you had a great time here in Florida.
Fantastic and Quiet Property. Close to everything we wanted to do.
The primary reason for our visit was to hit the National Park sites (Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades NP, and Biscayne NP). This house was at the very end of urban area of Homestead, and within an hour drive from everything we were looking to do, as well as within an hour drive from Key Largo. It's tucked way back in a light residential area nestled in between acres and acres of plant nurseries. Couldn't ask for a more peaceful setting. The property itself is probably a little larger than an acre, and had (very friendly) dogs, chickens, and horses (which the kids loved)!
The interior is beautiful, seems recently redone, and VERY clean. The house is so well appointed, I'm assuming the owners use this as a weekend house as well. We've stayed at about a dozen HomeAway properties and this one easily takes the prize for most stocked kitchen. Owners go out of there way to make your stay a little easier by providing bottled water, paper goods, and small conveniences like spices, sugar, ice, foil, etc. It's very much appreciated not having to buy those things for a short stay! TVs came equipped with FireSticks with both Netflix and DirectTV Now (another thing we always pack with us so it was great to have it available and already set up). House was very kid/family friendly (single story, not cluttered and nothing breakable out.
Only issue we had was be woken up 2 of the nights we stayed by one of the horses. We're both light sleepers since we have little kids and the horse's enclosure comes up right against the master suite. You can hear him galloping by at night. Not sure if he just got loose from his pen and was having a good time, but thought it worth mentioning.
Owner very attentive and helpful with suggestions on where to go/what to do in the area. Not sure when we'll be back to this area, but we would definitely be interested in renting this property again when we do. Excellent Price point for the quality of the property!
Thanks for making our mini-vacay great!
Thank you so much for your great review, we are so happy you enjoyed our property. Thank you so much for letting us know about our horse keeping you awake at night, that is not supposed to happen. They get turned out in the paddocks during the day and they sleep in the barn inside their stalls at night. I will talk to our keepers regarding that issue.
We will love to have your family stay again in the future, thank you again for your kind words about our home. We take pride in keeping it beautiful and welcoming for our guests.
