About Vacasa, WA - San Juans / Puget Sound Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice place to stay in Seattle
My son and I were here on business trip and spent 3 nights at this place. It was perfect for us. It is in a great location with great views and was perfectly comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Simple, but nice 2 bedroom house in a great location.
We very much enjoyed our short stay here. The house was superbly located with nice views in a nice neighborhood. The accommodations, while not fancy, were quite comfortable and perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay here again.
I rented this property on the $105.00 per night come-on. After a two night stay, my bottom line was nearly $400.00!! FEES, which are not initially disclosed, account for this discrepancy. There was a half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Please provide coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker. Even the cheapest motel provides coffee in the room. Fix the dishwasher. Install path lighting for the stairs from the driveway to the back door - EXTREMELY precarious - especially at night!! <br />
My overall sense is that this is a recently flipped property and not very well done at that. There was a new coat of paint... so all of the doors were sticky. And many of the doors were not plumb (misaligned). The details spoke very loudly of haste and inattentiveness. Paint on the floors and the door knobs (which were original but loose and very noisy). The backsplash in the kitchen is loose and some of the light switch plates reveal holes in the wall. One of the pictures in a bedroom was hung in a very slipshod way. The trinkets on the shelves in the dining room were random and did NOT add to the ambience. In fact, they appeared like PROPS. For example, there is a plastic fold-up cribbage board (all of my family are cribbage players) with no playing cards or pegs. There is a ratty book of Latin musical melodies published in Japanese. There is a stuffed animal - one knows not where it has been or who has previously handled it. The television was a complete mystery. I had to do a search for analogue channels and then there was no guide if I just wanted to search for something. Useless. The flower boxes on the front porch are full of DEAD PLANTS. There is an injunction in print to "help save energy" by shutting off the lights, etc. while at the same time, the DOWNSTAIRS (below where we stayed, where the washer and dryer are) is being heated with the upstairs thermostat! You are heating an unused area! If you want to save energy, you should consider finding a way to close off the ducts to the downstairs until it is ready to rent! Also, the refrigerator is old and the sealing materials are loose. Consequently, the FRIDGE runs 24/7!! If you spend a little money on a new energy-efficient fridge, you will save energy and money in the long run.<br />
Even in the cheapest motels, one can find a coffee maker WITH coffee included. WHY NOT HERE? I left some Starbuck's Breakfast Blend Keurig pods for the next renter. <br />
Overall, the attention to detail was dismal. It made me think that the people responsible for this property are not invested in civic pride. Do not care about the city of Seattle or putting their best foot forward on behalf of local business. I said as much in an email to the Chamber of Commerce. I had a long chat with a pub owner who is demoralized by what seems to be a trend of people buying properties in the area and turning them into vacation homes who have no vested interest in the good of the local community. If you want to have longevity, you might consider this.
We appreciate receiving this feedback about this guest's stay at Majestic Viewpoint in Seattle. We do apologize if some inconveniences occurred during this stay. Here at Vacasa, it is our highest priority to make sure each guest has the best experience possible, and our 24/7 guest hotline is always available to help if anything comes up. Regarding the following feedback: Fees: All fees are disclosed prior to booking as the website gives you the option to expand to view all fees. Once expanded it shows you any applicable fees applied prior to completing the booking as well as the total cost with those fees included. We have taken this feedback seriously and have since worked with the owner of this lovely property to discuss upgrades. We have also recommended to the owner to install path lighting on the exterior of the home. Thank you!
Good location and overall home, cheaply /carelessly prepared for rental
The house is in a great location for a view of the city and close driving proximity to multiple neighborhoods. The house is in a neighborhood-y area and is not that walkable to restaurants, etc., but is quiet due to that. So, it depends what you are looking for.<br />
We enjoyed the location and view but there are some things that need to be addressed. Basically, it looks like this house was prepared for rental and furnished as quickly and as cheaply as possible. There was still painters tape on walls, and almost every floor in the house has drips of paint and stains on it - kind of sad that it hasn't had TLC in upkeep because it is a cool spot. <br />
On the plus side of the furnishings, the kitchen is pretty decent and the laundry is relatively new. The beds are comfortable. The couch looks new but the rest of the furniture is cheap, tippy and many pieces still had Goodwill price tags on them - as I said it looks like the place was carelessly thrown together - in some ways.<br />
There are some liability issues with this house that need to be addressed. I called Reese, the manager, regarding these issues and she never returned my call.<br />
We found a bug (carpet mite?) on the couch and Reese offered to have professionals come check for bugs but they never came & she did not call me back<br />
The house was very dirty when we arrived. There were hairs on the bathtub, on the comforters, the floors were dirty, especially around the edges of the room/baseboard. Underneath the rugs were lots of chunks of dirt. I did call the management and they refunded my cleaning fee of $165 and brought in a housecleaner to clean it. The housecleaner who came did a great job and then the house looked like it should have when we arrived. I had to call the regional manager to get this refund; the local manager first offered to refund $50 and give me more Tide pods.<br />
The dresser in the kids room fell on my 4 year old when she opened a drawer, which scared me to death. Amazingly, she screamed and caught it with one hand and it didn't land on her. The dresser was tall, cheap and chinsy - very unstable. Should have DEFINITELY been secured to the wall or not in a room decorated for a kid (stuffed animals, etc). <br />
There is a nail pointed up sticking out of the wall in the master bedroom near door at shin level. <br />
The curtain rod above master bed is about to fall out of the Sheetrock and would land on the person sleeping in the bed. I asked Vacasa to address these issues so I could sleep more soundly but I did not hear back.<br />
The dishwasher is not secured to the wall and is half hazardly held in place with electric tape (?!?) it’s only a matter of time until someone opens the door to the dishwasher and all the dishes crash out and break. It also leaks into floor...<br />
There is an old vent in the wall of the kitchen/entry way, and when you open it it is stuffed with dirt, leaves and branches. Very strange that these things were never cleaned. We just immediately shut it so all the dirt wouldn't fall onto the counter.<br />
It would be nice if the comforters had washable covers.<br />
Another thing to note is that there is no fan in the bathroom and it is very hard to open the window, it's almost painted shut. If you take a hot shower for more than 5-10 minutes the smoke alarm will go off due to steam. The smoke alarm went off so many times during our 3 week stay that we had to replace the battery. <br />
Also worth noting - the filters and lens width on the pictures of this place are somewhat deceiving. The property is not new or newly improved as the photos appear on airbnb/vacasa site.<br />
I would rate vacasa staff as 2-3 in this experience. I appreciated them bringing in the housecleaner but it would have been much better to arrive to a clean rental. We stayed for about 3 weeks so it should have...
Perfect for our stay near family. It was everything we needed at a very reasonable price. It is not new, but the description is accurate.
