This is a beautifully remodeled and upgraded two bedroom, two bath ground-floor condominium -- but it's the front-row views of what lies beyond that makes this condo truly unique. Stay here and don't be surprised if you spend most of your time outside on the large, private lanai, enjoying well-maintained gardens and stunning, rare, unobstructed views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean and nearby Papohaku Beach.

This condo features a spacious and well-designed floor plan, offering the largest square footage available at Ke Nani Kai. It has high-quality furnishings and appliances throughout, including its own, in-unit, stackable washer and dryer. a large screen Internet TV in the main room, a smaller, flat panel, LCD TV in the master bedroom (both TVs with full cable access), and free, secure wireless Internet service from anywhere in the unit. The kitchen is small, but is well-designed, well-equipped, and functional. A comfortable, 3-stool lunch counter/bar divides the kitchen and dining areas, offering extra "sit-down" space while also keeping the conversation going between the two areas.

Outdoors, the lanai features the same large Italian floor tiles found throughout the unit, with comfortable patio furniture including a dining table and chairs and a chaise lounge. Relaxed and Laid Back

Comfortable condo. The host (Jim) was very helpful and responded quickly to messages. Best feature was the view from the patio onto the ocean in the distance. Large grassy area with great night time views of the stars when the sky is clear. The pillow top on the king bed made it very comfortable sleeping (with no back problems). The bed is slightly convex, so there is a slight tendency to slide to the sides, but this also makes it very easy to get out of bed in the morning. The condo was clean and there were no bug problems (as mentioned in previous posts). The unit was set up very nicely with a large living room, dining room area, the master bedroom is off this giving the entire area (looking out toward the ocean) a very open feel. There is a good sized guest bedroom with two single beds and a desk in a separate room toward the front. The bathrooms were clean with decent water pressure and good temperature control, one with a shower/bath and toilet combo (slightly smaller feel) and a sink area outside that. The guest bathroom had a shower and toilet, but had a more open feel. The kitchen area opened onto the dining/living room area and was a comfortable size. The sliding glass patio doors and screens were a bit hard to open, but not unusual for that type of set up. The extras (e.g., portable beach chairs) were a plus. No Air Conditioning, but probably not needed. The night time temperatures were very comfortable, so we left the glass doors open and the screens closed. Good fans in the bedrooms helped quite a bit. The resort itself was well maintained and the pool was very nice, good size and very clean. Fun things to do on Molokai was walking/sitting on the beaches (Papohaku and Kepuhi) and swimming on Dixie Maru beach. The drive to the Halawa Valley was magnificent, but a very winding and narrow road, the hike to the Falls with Greg Solitari (can find it online) was also beautiful and fun (intermediate difficulty). If you don’t go down to Kalaupapa, the view from above is also beautiful. Try the hot bread at Kanemitsu Bakery at 7-8 pm at the back door. The Molokai Coffee Plantation (in Kualapuu) has local entertainment at 5 pm on certain nights, as does Paddlers Inn (pretty much every night). Just getting away from the crowds and relaxing on Molokai is really what it’s all about!

Awesome view, quiet and comfortable!

The condo was clean and well stocked. Beautiful view of the distant beach. Great trade winds, the bedroom fans helped as well. As mentioned in the overview not many dining options in the area, I recommend stopping in Kaunakakai for groceries to cook your own meals with all the kitchen supplies provided. Comfortable condo and great response time by owner.

Nice condo, unit needs some attention to detail.

The unit, like the rest of them, is nicely built, good layout, tastefully decorated. The location is perfect, the patio onto the lawn is great, the landscaping on the patio is tropical and provides a cool breeze in the wind. The unit itself however, needs some attention. The pillows were worn, flat and uncomfortable, the bed is hard and slopes to the edges. The curtain rod for the sliding glass doors in the bedroom was lying on the floor, curtan folded up in closet. The closet doors, set so we can only use half the space, had 3 hangers. The space for clothes is limited to nightstands and 3 very small drawers so we had to divide our clothes between those and our suitcases. The top to the small rattan table in the dining room (the only space to put our personal things other than the dining table) is broken, the top is caved in. The coffee pot leaks, one burner on the stove was missing and the other burners don't go down properly so everything cooks to one side of the pan. We had to use the Brita water pitcher for juice as there were no other pitchers. My email said to look at the list by the phone to see what we needed to do on checkout, there was no phone and no checkout list. Also, putting away groceries is odd. The cupboards are full of dishes, the one hall closet is full of games and odds and ends, so our groceries sat on the counter. Some of the other units cleared a space in the hall closet for renters to put groceries etc. All kitchen units have same design. All in all, this is a nice unit, but for the price, I shouldn't have to fill the salt and pepper shakers and figure out a way to prop up the bedroom curtains. This is probably the fault of the maintenance rather than the owner, but someone needs to take care of the small details.

Very nice ocean view, we spent a lot of time enjoying the view while having breakfast.

A lot of cockroaches in the kitchen - condo manager said he would have spraying done but did not do so. No working smoke detector. Windows could use a good cleaning, especially in the second (smaller) bedroom. Kitchen has been nicely updated. Master bath has been nicely updated. Too bad about the golf course and many of the other buildings being left to deteriorate. The Molokai locals do not want tourists to come here, for the most part. Really enjoyed watching the birds from the lanai. Enjoyed seeing the Monk seals on the local beach. Too bad places like the petroglyphs and the refuge for the sufferers from Hansen's Disease are so inaccessible. Also inaccessible is the area of the 1946 Tsunami. Could not get on the mule ride as it was full....... There was another beach I would have liked to visit, but only accessible via a rutted dirt road (the locals not wanting to encourage tourism again.......)

Bug Infested and Dark

Noticed a moldy smell immediately upon entering property. Condo was spacious and orderly but dark due to lack of lighting and dark decor. Cockroach infestation in kitchen and tiny bugs in kitchen and in bedroom and master bathroom. This was a real turnoff! Property Manager was unresponsive to request for roach motels and other general ques's although did provide some lightbulbs for burnt out ones. Overall condo still dark inside due to lack of lighting. Lack of small glasses in kitchen but pretty good kitchen cooking supplies overall. Condo was serviceable otherwise and liked the beach supplies. I would investigate the moldy smell and definitely get rid of the roach and bug infestation. Owner of property very nice and responsive but onsite Property Manager was evasive which you need to rely on when at the condo. I would recommend the place only if these issues were fixed.
