Beautiful location

  • 3 of 5

We arrived at our cabin at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon and first impression was it was exactly what we were looking for. We came for the seclusion, fireplace and hot tub.

The hot tub was on but it wasn't heating. I called the owner and he said it should be warm but to give it a little more time. We went to the grocery store, came back and it still wasn't heating so we were moved to another cabin. UHHGGGG..... we had just moved everything in for a 4 day stay plus all our groceries. Repack all our groceries and belongings, move to another cabin. This cabin was almost identical to the first except the hot tub was not nearly as nice as the cabin we rented. When we were looking on line we decided on that cabin because of the hot tub. Then had to move.

The cabin is very cute but in desperate need of some TLC.... It is very dirty. Under and behind the pull out trash can under the kitchen sink hasn't seen any cleaning in a very long time. It was filthy. They had purchased new silverware but couldn't be bothered to take off the stickers, which I had to scrub off to use them. Everything in the cabin could use a good cleaning.

For the money we paid I expected a little more cleanliness. Also, where the hot tub is located on the deck, it overlooks the other cabins, there is one cabin that is real close so they really need some shades that can be rolled down for privacy. Luckily for us it was cold and wet that week so there wasn't anyone else there most of the time so it wasn't a huge issue, but had it been busy that would have been an issue.

Other than a major clean, I enjoyed the cabin very much. In the busy season I would want something a little more secluded, but that is just me.

Weekend getaway

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable! The only suggestions we have are to have the heat on when we arrived, it was a cold evening and we arrived later in the evening and to have Wifi. There's no cell coverage in the area so having WiFi would have been nice to see what's around!

Wonderful Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough nice things about this cabin. It was very relaxing. It is very close to town and just a short drive to Lake Lure and Hendersonville. The cabin is with a group of cabins but you have lots of privacy. The hot tub was a great added bonus but we also spent time rocking on the back porch enjoying the view. I would definitely try to get this cabin again if we ever go back.
