Will never stay there again

  • 1 of 5

Upon arrival we were checking out the cabin. Went on the balcony, my wife and I both got stung by yellow jackets. Tried to notify owner by text, and phone. No answer. Cabin was dirty and needed a thorough cleaning. Bathroom needs some major repairs above shower stall and the tub was awful. Only has window air conditioners, and smells very musty. We had camouflage sheets and only a comforter for a blanket. I would have gone somewhere else, but they already had my money. Won’t do that cabin again.

Nice Place but Dated

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We liked that it was secluded and easy to get to. In renting, arriving, and leaving, we did not need to have any contact with another person. Arrangements were all made online and through text message. It was close enough to everything that we were able to return to the cabin any time we wanted (i.e. for a nap). Having a washer and dryer available was also nice. There were so many good places to eat nearby, we didn't use any part of the kitchen but the fridge.

It could have used some new linens. The sheets and towels seemed old. While I understand it is in the mountains, we seemed to be the first to stay there in a while as there were a few cobwebs inside and the rugs could stand to be shaken out. We also found the hot tub difficult to turn on and off. Not having owned a hot tub, instructions would have been helpful. These points were not enough to negatively affect our stay, though and we would return.

Great mountain getaway

  • 4 of 5

Lovely secluded cabin with Mountain View’s. Not fancy, but that’s not what we were looking for!!! Had all the basics. We were there during some super cold/freezing conditions and the cabin stayed toasty warm. A few steps from Chimney Rock for excellent hiking and sightseeing and the quaint downtown area. 10 minute drive to the grocery store, 30 min drive to downtown Asheville, and both drives were stunning! Love the river drive.

Cherokee Cabin

  • 4 of 5

A great place to really get away. Cherokee cabin is in the perfect place for that quiet time with a short drive to scenic locations like Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Take a drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and end the day with a soak in the hot tub on the deck. Great response from the owner who owns several cabins here.
