About Meghan Ireland

My husband, Steven, was born and raised in Las Vegas but like many others, I'm a transplant. I was born in Southern California but I've lived in Henderson or Las Vegas most of my life. Although we grew up just miles apart, my husband and I didn't meet each other until we both lived in Peru. We like to say that we had to travel across the world to find one another. We had a short courtship and we've been married now for over 7 years with two cute kiddos. My husband is a civil engineer while I stay home and manage the finances and household. We love being together as a family, playing games, and good food. We've used Airbnb to travel and have loved the experience. Especially as a young family, the convenience has been great. We hope to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible; giving you not just a place to lay your head down at night, but a place to feel at home.

Why Meghan Ireland chose Moonridge

Having grown up in Southern California, I used to love visiting Big Bear as a child. As an adult, my family has fallen in love with this city. In the Summer, we enjoy escaping the heat and the recreation activities available. While in the Winter, we enjoy playing in the snow. It was love at first sight for us and this property. The area is fantastic; it's located in Moonridge and a quick drive to everything Big Bear has to offer.

What makes this cabin unique

The authenticity of the cabin is so dreamy; the wood beams and cathedral ceiling are just gorgeous. We love the open layout; it allows our family to spend quality time together. We get to enjoy cabin life without sacrificing any of the amenities of modern life; we have wifi, cable, running water, heat, and a washer and a dryer, just to name a few things.

Well equipped, super cozy, very clean!

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fort Little Bear! The jacuzzi was a big hit, and the sauna was a unique amenity that I enjoyed. High quality Weber charcoal grill was a plus, although a few exterior chairs (in addition to the bench seats near the BBQ) would be a nice addition. Meghan was very responsive to any questions and was incredibly accommodating to our request for an earlier check in time. We will definitely be back next ski season!

Clean, cozy, and thoughtful.

  • 5 of 5

Its obvious the moment you walk through the front door, you've booked the very best cabin in big bear. Perfect size for our family of 3 plus 2 dogs. Thoughtfully, practically and meticulously put together with every amenity you'd need to feel comfortable.

Excellent kitchen and living space, bedding extremely comfortable, and the cabin warm and quiet. After a day on the slopes, we never left , why would we.

The proprietor here has good taste and the practical sense to make sure her guest are lacking for nothing.

Cute, Clean, and that’s just the outside

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this trip was smooth. From booking to our cabin that was amazing! You would not think how many amenities it has inside. From the tv, internet, thermostat, fireplace, jacuzzi, sauna, etc and the list goes on. There were plenty of blankets however it stays so warm in the cabin you didn’t need many. The kids had a blast and that was our goal and the Cabin made that possible. They loved having special utensils and games. Over all I couldn’t be happier with our over all experience and Cabin.

Me and family loved this place

  • 5 of 5

Fort little bear is a very nice cozy and comfy cabin, very equipped, it has anything you need to feel you are at home, nice kitchen with all the utensils and utilities, nice spa and jacuzzi, two comfortable bedrooms, nice furniture. Picures in the website are pretty close with what we experienced, it also has a great location close to ski resort and big bear lake. Meghan is very helpful, she communicates really quickly upon emails, I will book this place again if I go to big bear again, totally recommended.

Clean and okay

Great location close to ski resorts, clean and well organized . Not many blankets , the upstairs bed was very uncomfortable and there weren’t any coffee filters for the coffee maker . We enjoyed the jacuzzi .

Owner's Response: We appreciate any and all feedback. We take these comments seriously and have already put into effect changes to better the experience for future guests. Both mattresses have been recently replaced, we have purchased coffee filters, and extra blankets are stored in the bench downstairs. The cabin manual contains further information where everything is located. Thanks for the feedback.

So cozy!!!

  • 5 of 5

We are in love with this cabin. Everything was so clean and organized. Meghan left great detail about how everything works and where everything is, it was so convenient. It was also so comfy and cozy. It is perfect for a couples getaway for a few days or for a small family trip. So many board games to choose from to play in the evening by the fire. Comfy beds and tons of extra blankets for those chilly nights. My boyfriend and I loved this cabin and we most definitely will be coming back!
