This home sleeps 8 comfortably: the master bedroom features a king size bed, opposite end of the 2nd floor is another guestroom with a queen. Recently, our lower level was completed - and offers a second family room/ lounge space with 58" LED Smart TV and a new queen bed. We can also provide a double air mattress in the lower level for an extra guest. Enjoy loads of natural light and again, quality finishes. Video gaming equipment and board games are also included.
We invite our guests to sample the garden- grown gogi berries, zucchini, peppers, lettuce and carrots. We expect there to be sun ripened strawberries from June to September.
We have a well equipped kitchen with induction cooktop, convection oven, warming drawer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Adjacent, feast at our century old dining table - room for 10. Island stools will seat 2.
There are 2 bathrooms where you can have a rain shower and massaging bodyjets; hide away in the other upstairs bathroom for a quiet glass of wine in the soaking tub. The main floor bathroom offers a toilet, sink and shower and is steps from the hot tub.
Both main floor and lower level living spaces offer leather furniture. For larger gatherings 10 can socialize in the living room. 8 can enjoy relaxing in the lower level family room, with reclining seating and a dry bar area. Both upstairs and lower levels offer Smart TVs with stereo sound systems. Spin some vinyl for nostalgia - our 1980 turntable and music collection is available.
We face a park with large green spaces: bike trails, a fishing pond and sports fields. The equipment is available and ready for a game of tennis, don't forget your tennis shoes..!
Just beyond this property is a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as a skating and hockey venue. This is 'West Lethbridge' - home to the University of Lethbridge, the ATB Ice Complex, future indoor pool and fieldhouse complex, and myriads of parks and trails, retail shopping and the basic necessities like groceries and gas stations.
Our region offers a variety of cultural activities including concerts and fine arts. Catch some horse racing or rodeo events offered throughout the summer. We love the options to hike the coulees and downhill in the Rockies, only an hour away. Spend a summer afternoon at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens... or an evening at its Winter Lights Festival. There is almost always a exciting sporting event to attend in Lethbridge; hockey, figure skating, motorcycle stunting, golf or a Lethbridge Bulls baseball game. The Yates, Playgoers of Lethbridge, the University of Lethbridge, the Galt Museum and Southern Alberta Art Museum are great choices for a culture seekers.
We are golf junkies - there are dozens of courses close by. Lethbridge hosts a stop of the PGA's Mackenzie Tour at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort... alternatively, you could keep busy for weeks teeing off at the long list of stunning courses in the area.
We like to frequent Calgary to see world class equestrian show jumping, the Stampede, and the zoo! Daryl and I can provide an even more unique stay, if you would like an experience in the Crowsnest Pass - ask about 'Heaven and Yurt'.!
Spring, summer and fall are lovely - but don't rule out a winter stay - we are the place to be for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and sledding.
