About Fay Cullen

Well-immersed in the pastry and chocolate world for several decades, there is nothing on Marc’s list of culinary delights that features higher than chocolate and coffee. Playing a considerable role in both gutting and rebuilding this spectacular Chunn’s Cove residence, throughout 2015 & 16, Marc has conclusively proved that watching informative and directional Home Improvement Shows for the best part of adulthood, is akin to learning a new language. Born in Quebec, Marc’s native tongue is French but his English rivals any native tongue and his Spanish makes him trilingual. Not without her artistic inheritance, Fay’s world is defined as a pleasurable balance between entrepreneur and artist, commencing with a decade of international business travel in her early 20’s, evolving to a decade of motherhood punctuated by a successful but largely fulfilling decade in the office. Now the time is ripe to spread those four Sagittarian wings for this highly motivated couple, eager to explore exciting new business ventures.

Why Fay Cullen chose Asheville

Chunns Cove is a world unto itself, just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville. We have two neighbors who are barely visible through the trees, otherwise all you can see is a spectacular almost 360 degree wooded views. The cove is human-quiet but bird-noisy! We regularly see creatures that you wouldn't expect and could easily mistake this place in summer for a Costa Rican rain-forest! Ingles, our local grocery store, is 2 minutes down the road and Walgreens and Wholefoods are just 5 minutes away.

What makes this guest house unique

The Hideaway is Designed With Spacious Rooms, Fitted With Every Possible Luxury, Not Limited to Granite Counter-tops and a Washer and Drier, a Keurig Machine with a Variety of K-cups, 100% Cotton Linens, a Brand New NC Tuft & Needles Mattress with Memory Foam topper and Brand New Pillows. The Treehouse faces south for rural views in a delightfully bright and spacious suite with a spectacular round window to watch the sunrise. A huge hot-tub sits below your suite with forest & mountain views.

Awesome location less than 1 mile from the heart of Downtown Asheville, in Chunns Cove Forest, home to wild black bears who have a pathway across our property so please respect our local nature and provide the space they need to feel comfortable since we all share this beautiful space. Downtown, there are a whole host of foodie restaurants, some of which are mentioned in the folder in your suite - please enjoy and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Secluded oasis close to downtown

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse! It was so nice to be in a place that was so close to the city, but still secluded and peaceful. We loved enjoying our morning coffee on the patio overlooking the mountains and the well water was some of the best we’ve ever tasted! We were provided with all the amenities we could have needed, and especially appreciated the first aid kit! The bed and linens were so comfortable and I loved having the ability to do a bit of yoga with the provided yoga mats. Thank you Marc and Fay for providing a beautiful space for us!

A tranquil retreat in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I spent three nights in the Treehouse suite. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Fay and Mark were wonderful hosts and took care to meet all needs. They were very personable too. We felt very comfortable using the kitchen each evening as we ate all our dinners in the quaint dining room in the home. One of the best things was we felt we were secluded but town was five minutes or so away. We had a great time and will definitely stay with them again when visiting Asheville.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway. Fay and Marc were very welcoming and gracious hosts...even when we smelled up the entire home by cooking bacon!

Location is super convenient to everything Asheville has to offer. The view of the sunrise over the mountains coming through the large circular window was just breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable, plush robes for use to/from the hot tub are a great touch, and the place was very clean!

We would gladly return to the Hideaway again!

Great property and location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Treehouse Suite in late December and absolutely loved it! The property is beautiful with trees surrounding you, but it was just a short drive to get into the heart of Asheville. Fay and Marc were so warm and friendly, and chatting with them felt like reconnecting with an old friend! The recommendations they gave for restaurants were delicious, and they were very responsive to any of our needs. I hope to check out another one of Fay and Marc's properties on our next visit to Asheville, but I would absolutely stay in the Treehouse Suite again!

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The Treehouse was a perfect getaway. The place was clean and the hosts were absolutely amazing. They gave us plenty of suggestions and were lovely people to get to know. The view from the bed onto the mountains can't be beat. We will absolutely consider staying with Fay and Marc again.
