This is our second year to stay in this lovely home! It is so charming and the location could not be better. We love being able to walk steps to dining and shopping yet when we are in the house it is totally private. Lourmarin is a great place to spend time in Provence. Enjoy exploring the town or take quick trips to some of the other towns in the area--each has its own charm. The market in Lourmarin is not to be missed on Friday morning...go early and stay until it closes so you don't miss anything. We loved everything about our stay! Thank you Donatienne!!
Thank you very much, and i am glad you really enjoyed !
It was a dream come true to be in a beautiful villa in Provence. We fell in love with Lourmarin and to be living right around the corner from wonderful cafes and little boutiques was perfect. We were met by Magali who showed us all the features of the home--lovely decor, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful fresh linens. The rooms were very spacious with lovely furniture. We enjoyed coffee and fresh pastries every morning in the kitchen and had our wine and cheeses in the evening watching as locals and visitors walked by the window in the dining room. We had great exercise on the stairs but worth the climb! Thank you Donatienne for your hospitality. We missed the lavender so plan to return and will be staying with you again very soon.
To others considering this as a vacation rental you will not be disappointed. Everyone in Lourmarin was friendly and helpful. There are many places to enjoy a great meal. You can easily explore this whole region from this location by car and then you can come" home" to this very special place.

Thank you for your nice appreciation on your stay in our home. It is so true your comment on the kitchen and the dining room! We enjoy it very much as well, and it makes up feel as locals! I will be very pleased if you decide to come back , for the lavenders and much more....it is between june and the 15 of july only, that the lavenders are visible.
I am glad that you had a great trip in Europe, and wish you a " Bel été" !
The Jewel of Lourmarin
My wife and I and another couple stayed in the lovely well placed home. The charm and atmosphere was perfect and the location is as good as it gets. The home itself is very comfortable and appointed. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The people of Lourmarin made us feel at home and the restaurants are fantastic. There was no need to buy a coffee in the morning because it was provided in the home. Don't miss out on this Jewel.
I am really glad that the 4 of you had an enjoyable time in Lourmarin! I will be happy next time to meet you there, and why not introduce you to a famous cooking chef ! The 3 of us could participate in a provencal cooking course! Have a safe and pleasant trip back to Florida!

Beautiful town, perfect house!!!
We spent 5 days in July in Lourmarin.
Mom, Dad and 4 kids (16,13,9,5)
We really loved it. Every day we would have breakfast in one of the cafes in town and then go to a neighbor town to the open market.
We visited the castle at Lourmarin and many of the other locations around.
The house is very comfortable, and at the same time it has personality.
The owner thought of every detail, we really enjoyed our stay. Magali received us and showed us around, we are already recommending the house.
Thank you very much for your comments. Like you wrote, having your breakfast in the cafés just around the corner is a great start! Local markets are everywhere around during the high season and should be part of any trip in Provence! The friday market in Lourmarin is a Must, as well as the tuesday local farmers market also in the village, where a local Chef is sharing a Provencal recipe that you can taste!
I really enjoyed looking at your family picture in front of the " Made in Lourmarin" ! And wish you and your family a wonderful end of summer.
Central village charmer
'Made in Lourmarin' is not only in the heart of the village but was also at the heart of our fantastic holiday in the Luberon. Lourmarin is the perfect provencal village; welcoming, vibrant, relaxing and charming and this house is truly in the heart of it. Just a few steps from the centre of the village with its collection of bars and cafe's but just far enough away to be a relaxing retreat. The house is in a quiet pedestrian lane and the multiple village carparks are only a short walk away. Margin made us feel welcome on arrival and the house had everything we needed. The owner, Donatienne was excellent to deal with for the booking and made contact with us during our stay to ensure everything was going well. The village has 19 restaurants and bars and we tried 16 of them during our 2 weeks and were never disappointed. Lourmarin makes a great base for trips to surrounding villagers and the sights of Provence. There are several weekly markets in surrounding villages but we found Lourmarin's Friday market to be one of the best. As another reviewer have noted the stairs to the bedrooms mean you need to be reasonably mobile and the basement Laundry was an adventure but neither of these detracted from the convenience, comfort and charm of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this village and 'Made in Lourmarin' to travellers wanting to make the most of this lovely part of the world!
Thank you very much for your comments. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in the " Made in Lourmarin" and in the Luberon.
Like you mentionned, my local agent, is a native from Lourmarin, and she is able to give directions, recommendations on visits, markets....and much more.
When i bought the house, this winter, i had to to make a laundry room right away , the past owners did not have one. The stairs to get to the basement will get a ramp soon to make it more convenient to the guests. In the future, the basement that is a beautiful 17 th century cave is going to be restored and be an extension of the house.
Lots of tasty restaurants in the village, with reasonable prices! Some of them, may need a reservation during the high season!
Thanks again for having chosen my home for your 2 weeks stay in the Luberon!
Wonderful stay in Lourmarin
Spent a wonderful 5 nights at "Made in Lourmarin" in June. Magali met us upon our arrival and was very kind and helpful. The place was very clean and tidy. The owner, Donatienne, was very nice to work with and very accommodating. The WiFi worked great and the town of Lourmarin was so charming. Though we ventured out each day to other villages, Lourmarin quickly became "our town". We highly recommend "Made in Lourmarin" for someone who wants to immerse themselves in the charm of Provence life.
Thanks, i am glad that your family had a good time! You are right, when you choose to stay in my home, you easily become a "Lourmarinois"! Being in the heart of the old village, is a must. Even if we go and visit the villages around, like your family did, we always come back to Lourmarin !
I wish your family a great summer.
