My husband and I found Volcano Village about 20 years ago. It was our dream to purchase property there, and we did just that! We built a small magical little cabin. For many years we enjoyed it ourselves from time to time, and on occasion our friends and family would go and stay at the cabin. Each time we always heard the same things... How beautiful it was, how inspiring it felt, and how they just never wanted to leave. So a Few years ago we put it on the market as a vacation rental.
The cabin is a huge cabin/studio, it offers a very large bathroom with a Large soak tub, a stand up shower, full washer & dryer, full size kitchen, dining area, sitting room with a view of the forest and a gorgeous gas fireplace. We just put in a brand NEW queen size pillow top mattress that makes you feel like you are really sleeping in the clouds and though there is a large picture window just above the bed so as you lay there you can keep your eyes on the Big Dipper.
Hi Genevieve & Rev,
Thanks very much for your note! We had a wonderful time in the Big Island and loved your cabin. This was the highlight of our trip. The cabin was private, peaceful, well decorated, and very relaxing! We hope to have an opportunity to stay here again in the future. We will definitely recommend your cabin to our friends. Although we decided not to bring our laptop this time, the availability of wireless internet was a strong consideration when selecting your cabin.

This is a spacious cabin nestled in really tall ferns that feels like you're in a tree house. The ceilings are high, large windows look out onto lush vegetation, full kitchen and huge bathroom. There's a gas fireplace to take the chill off and it's a short drive to the national park. We enjoyed our stay very much. There was no cell phone service, but there is a land line and there is wifi. We would stay again and will recommend to friends.
We did like the home with its creative design and elegant materials. Well furnished throughout with one exception. Which was the lack of a comfortable place to sit and read. Just an empty space in the middle of the living area where lounge chairs used to be. Rebate in order?
Great place to wind down from hectic city life.
Great place to stay near volcanoes national park. Smoke alarm needs replacing. Otherwise everything was perfect!
My husband and I stayed two evenings at the Aloha Nohea Volcano Cabin given its close proximity to the the Hawaii Volcano National Park. The location was perfect for volcano hiking by day and lava viewing at night. The town of Volcano was quaint with nice cafe's and a yummy Thai restaurant with full bar. There is also a well stocked convenience store in town if needed. The cabin itself is VERY secluded and quiet. We loved hearing nothing but raindrops on the metal roof. The fireplace kept us warm and comfy and the cabin was well equipped and clean. We would definitely stay in the cabin again and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you VRBO!
We absolutely loved our stay here. It's very private, but just minutes away from the park and nearby restaurants in the village. Everything was as pictured and described, we would definately stay here again if lucky enough to return.
We are 1 mile from the Volcano National Park- Come see an active Volcano, watch earth be created right before your eyes.
