Cabin, Studio + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)
My husband and I found Volcano Village about 20 years ago. It was our dream to purchase property there, and we did just that! We built a small magical little cabin. For many years we enjoyed it ourselves from time to time, and on occasion our friends and family would go and stay at the cabin. Each time we always heard the same things... How beautiful it was, how inspiring it felt, and how they just never wanted to leave. So a Few years ago we put it on the market as a vacation rental.
The cabin is a huge cabin/studio, it offers a very large bathroom with a Large soak tub, a stand up shower, full washer & dryer, full size kitchen, dining area, sitting room with a view of the forest and a gorgeous gas fireplace. We just put in a brand NEW queen size pillow top mattress that makes you feel like you are really sleeping in the clouds and though there is a large picture window just above the bed so as you lay there you can keep your eyes on the Big Dipper.

Super Rain Forest Experience
We had a wonderful and exciting experience in at the Aloha Nohea Volcano Cabin. The cabin is located in a rain forest setting close to Volcano National Park which allowed us to experience the park and the volcanic eruptions and changes that took place the week we stayed. The cabin is neat and clean, has a full kitchen, and a laundry facility that makes your stay convenient. We greatly enjoyed the covered deck and the natural lighting within this comfy home. Thank you s much for sharing it and making our Hawaiian experience a GREAT one!

Magical and Renewing
We loved everything about your place. It was beautiful, restoring and magical. So close to Volcano National Park which was a huge plus. We didn't want to leave this enchanting haven you have created. Thank you so much!!!
Perfect Getaway and perfect location
This property was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad we stayed there. It was a perfect location for viewing all that Volcano National Park has to offer and the Cabin was just wonderful. The view from the bed looking up at the stars was fantastic. It was clean and neat and had everything we could want. We would definitely stay here again.
Property was clean and cabin was very nice inside; road was kind of bumpy getting in the driveway
The location for this property was perfect for us; not far from the volcano and not far back to Hilo or the beach; the climate was perfect for us as we come from a cold weather state; we only had to turn the fire place on once for warmth: we were very comfortable
Beautiful hideaway in the jungle
We loved this very private hideaway amongst the ferns and trees. Lovely and cozy inside with the fireplace if it is raining and cool, or has a great patio if is it warm!
We've stayed in the Volcano NP area multiple times over the years and this is one of the nicer places we have stayed. Great location very close to Volcano village and VNP. Very clean and well maintained. Tucked away in the forest, it is very private. The skylights flood the interior with daylight and the picture window at the head of the bed allows a great view of the stars at night. (NO curtains on the windows, so when the sun comes up, you are up). Large covered deck for sitting outside to listen to the birds in the forest canopy -- but no table -- doubt we would have eaten outside anyway -- it was pretty chilly most of the time. Remember that Volcano can be cold and rainy - it was when we were there, so bring warm clothes and long pants! You will enjoy the gas fireplace after a day of hiking in the sideways rain!
Not a condo in Kona, so no dishwasher, and they could have used a few kitchen items such as an extra kitchen towel and hot pads, but overall well turned out for two people.
Washer and dryer - Dryer is nice for drying out the bath towels before your shower - it was so damp there nothing dried by hanging it on the deck. Could have used a couple more towel racks in the bathroom.
The only thing that would have made it perfect would be a hot tub tucked in forest for starlight soaking (we've found a couple places in Volcano that have them but they are hard to book) - there is a huge soaking tub in the bathroom, but we never used it -- seemed wasteful of water and electric.
Owner is also very responsive and helpful. We have this place on our radar for next year.
We are 1 mile from the Volcano National Park- Come see an active Volcano, watch earth be created right before your eyes.
