Whether you are visiting for Leadville’s historic landmarks, enjoying recreation opportunities, or in need of rest and relaxation, The Doc & Ruth Kehoe House is the perfect getaway spot. Built in 1888 during Leadville’s historic Silver Boom days The Kehoe House has changed ownership several times. It was an inn prior to being purchased by Doc John Kehoe and Ruth Kehoe (my maternal grandparents) where they raised my mother and her eleven siblings. The Doc& Ruth Kehoe House is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Leadville, in walking distance to all coffee shops and pubs, just a few minutes from Dutch Henry tubing/Sledding hill and 15 minutes by car to Ski Cooper.
***The finished basement accessed from the back room is perfect for storing bikes for the Leadville races. The house's side entrance that connects to the back room of the house allows racers to enter through the side door without the stress of dragging mud or bikes through the entrance and Victorian furnishings.
So go on, Come Run or Race every August!!
Or simply come ski, hike, fish, bike-- invite your friends and family, get away from the hustle and bustle and head up to The Doc & Ruth Kehoe House.
