Live like a native in this charming and well appointed downtown bungalow. This 1924 home has been renovated enough to have all of the modern conveniences without losing any charm. You can walk across the street to the artist district of Towles Court and dine at find restaurants there. Just two blocks away is Main Street where you find delightful and unique shops and restaurants! French, Indian, Italian cuisine, sushi to cigar bars and everything in between. Renowned steak houses and fun late night entertainments including outdoor bands and a top performing comedy club. A ten minute walk to the bay front leads to Maria Jacks and a water front view that rivals that of famous European cities. The Ringling bridge takes you to St. Armand's circle, world famous shopping and restaurants and one of the most delightful beaches as well. Repeatedly voted number one beach in the world is Siesta Key beach, just a 10 minute drive or uber. A trolley and bus also run close by to the island and all of town as well.
The house has three private bedrooms with ample space and queen beds in each. A cozy living room with brick fire place offer a spot for making memories with friends and family. A deck in the back offers a quite outdoor getaway. The kitchen is renovated and has stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave and is prepared for cooking full meals. Basic starter items are provided. There is an additional area that was originally the front porch, it has been completely closed and is now a cozy, sunny place to escape to read, draw, rest or work.
The bathroom has a large shower and room for changing and getting ready for a day at the beach or downtown.
Towels and linens are provided. The street has quiet homes, but is only steps away from the fun of downtown. The area is very safe and we've never experienced any crime issues here. The police station is just two blocks away and we walk around town at night feeling perfectly safe. We are located in the artist district where many charming old homes are, but it is also the preferred section of downtown. The south side of Fruitville road is where you want to be when looking at downtown, the closer to main street and the art district the more fun things to do. Main runs down to the Ringling Bridge. Beaches are all just a short drive and bridge away.
The neighborhood is very pet friendly, great for walking and their is a large park with beautiful walk across the street (301) in Payne Park. We welcome dogs as long as they are friendly and well behaved! We don't ask as much from your children, we know they are a work in process!
Come and see why Sarasota is the number one place to retire! Easy living, beautiful weather, rejuvenating outdoor activities, stimulating downtown with museums, shows, shopping and never want to leave!

Cute,clean and cozy Cottage
We had a great stay in Sarasota. Cute cottage, clean and great location.
Great location and a great place to rest your head after going to the beach, catching a ballgame, or spending a night out in Sarasota. Being so close to so much made my stay even nicer.
What a great time!
We loved our stay at the well-named "Charming Bungalow", an adorable home in a totally walkable area. The house is somehow small outside and huge inside. There are three bedrooms and two sitting areas and plenty of outdoor seating too. The basics and more were there, including good coffee and a coffee maker. The place was clean and fresh.
The location was great, near a main road if you wish to visit other areas, yet easily walkable to the best areas of charming Sarasota and the bay front. Renting bikes is close by and gives an easy way to get to Lido Key and not have to think about parking. Kayaking the bay was close and wonderful.
We would both highly recommend this beautiful traditional Florida house, and hope to return soon.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much! The house was located in a great location so we were able to walk to downtown Sarasota for shopping and enjoying the abundance of nearby restaurants! Towles Court is a real gem for trolling through and enjoying works of local artists!
Neighborhood is very friendly! Huge dog park nearby too!
The house was very clean and well equipped! We will return again! So many places to go and things to see in Sarasota!
Thank you, Ann, for making our stay so enjoyable!
We're so glad you had such a delightful trip! We would love to welcome you and your family again soon.
Beautiful, Cozy, and Pleasant. Like a home away from home!
