Live like a native in this charming and well appointed downtown bungalow. This 1924 home has been renovated enough to have all of the modern conveniences without losing any charm. You can walk across the street to the artist district of Towles Court and dine at find restaurants there. Just two blocks away is Main Street where you find delightful and unique shops and restaurants! French, Indian, Italian cuisine, sushi to cigar bars and everything in between. Renowned steak houses and fun late night entertainments including outdoor bands and a top performing comedy club. A ten minute walk to the bay front leads to Maria Jacks and a water front view that rivals that of famous European cities. The Ringling bridge takes you to St. Armand's circle, world famous shopping and restaurants and one of the most delightful beaches as well. Repeatedly voted number one beach in the world is Siesta Key beach, just a 10 minute drive or uber. A trolley and bus also run close by to the island and all of town as well.
The house has three private bedrooms with ample space and queen beds in each. A cozy living room with brick fire place offer a spot for making memories with friends and family. A deck in the back offers a quite outdoor getaway. The kitchen is renovated and has stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave and is prepared for cooking full meals. Basic starter items are provided. There is an additional area that was originally the front porch, it has been completely closed and is now a cozy, sunny place to escape to read, draw, rest or work.
The bathroom has a large shower and room for changing and getting ready for a day at the beach or downtown.
Towels and linens are provided. The street has quiet homes, but is only steps away from the fun of downtown. The area is very safe and we've never experienced any crime issues here. The police station is just two blocks away and we walk around town at night feeling perfectly safe. We are located in the artist district where many charming old homes are, but it is also the preferred section of downtown. The south side of Fruitville road is where you want to be when looking at downtown, the closer to main street and the art district the more fun things to do. Main runs down to the Ringling Bridge. Beaches are all just a short drive and bridge away.
The neighborhood is very pet friendly, great for walking and their is a large park with beautiful walk across the street (301) in Payne Park. We welcome dogs as long as they are friendly and well behaved! We don't ask as much from your children, we know they are a work in process!
