Unit G-201. Newly reconstructed, renovated, and refurnished in 2017; 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo on Sanibel Island on the Gulf Coast of southern Florida. Our unit is in the closest building to the awesome, private stretch of Bowman's Beach in Blind Pass Condominiums, which is located on a secluded, natural beach with great shelling, fine white sand, tropical water and vistas, and stunning sunsets. It is an end unit on the 2nd floor and sleeps 6. The condo’s renovation and refurnishing was completed in December 2017. It was gutted down to the studs; all plumbing, electrical infrastructure, AC, walls, ceilings, decor, furniture, appliances, bathrooms, kitchen, cabinets, counter tops, lighting, etc. have been replaced professionally by a local custom home builder and the owners. The one-floor, open layout consists of a great room with kitchen, dining area and living room with large flat screen, wall mounted TV. Bedrooms on each side of the great room each have a ceiling fan and flat screen TV. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, walk-in closet, and bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The spacious guest room contains one queen size bed, one full size bed and walk-in closet with a full bathroom across the hallway that has a bathtub/shower. The kitchen features granite counter tops including a large island, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and all customary large and small appliances as well as table settings for eight or more. The condo has a washer and dryer, 3 flat screen TVs, DVD player, Netflix, cable TV, living room ceiling fan, free WiFi, phone with free calling within the continental US, books, games, beach chairs, beach cart, tennis rackets, two fishing rods & tackle box, beach blanket, umbrellas, 2 skimboards, noodles, inflatable rafts, beach toys, balls, Frisbees, and other beach gear, pack 'n play (portable playpen), high chair booster seat, etc. Blind Pass is the northernmost condo complex on Sanibel with convenient proximity to Captiva Island. Free use of the condo's two tennis courts, Pickleball, and canoes & kayaks in the "Clam Bayou" that offers phenomenal bird watching and fishing opportunities. One designated parking space for the condo and ample additional convenient parking are available.

Clean, decorated with style, had everything we needed to enjoy our visit.
Beautiful property, we enjoyed canoes, kayaks, and tennis courts. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and other visitors were also lovely. Great experience at Blind Pass Condos!
Property was excellent
You could tell the owners put some money into the renovations, appliances and counters were nice, and the carpet was plush. If I were to try to find something negative, it would be that the AC was loud when it ran, but that would really be nitpicking and not a reason to not stay here.
Beach was about 5 minutes away. Would walk through a mangrove channel to get to it. Would seriously recommend bringing bug spray.
Another thing I would recommend, if coming to Sanibel, please pay attention to the news about red tide. Before coming (we did purchase the trip insurance) we were monitoring the Florida government and other websites. They were all reporting that the beach conditions were green and red tide light. Their definition did not match my definition, there were a multitude of dead fish in the water and on the beach. The shelling was not as good as we thought it was going to be because there were cleanup trucks sweeping the beach for all the dead fish, and we could not get in the water at the beach here. Not the property's fault, just something to be aware of when booking a Sanibel vacation
We had a great time at Blind Pass. The unit was great! It’s clean and updated with modern décor and appliances. It was well stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen & cookware to beach supplies, it had it all. It’s a short walk to the beach over Clam Bayou and the island is very bike friendly with flat, well maintained, bike paths throughout. Although it can be 5-6 miles each way, we road our rented bikes everywhere from Bowman's Beach to the Farmers Market and through Ding Darling. All in all it was a great trip, we'll be back!
Best equipped rental!
The property is very well equipped, convenient to the beach, comfortable and clean. We look forward to going back!
We had a wonderful time on Sanibel staying at Blind Pass Condominiums (G201). The condo was recently renovated and is in great condition. The condo is well stocked (cooking utensils, fishing equipment, games, puzzles, etc). Bowman's Beach is one of our favorites. Sanibel is a special place (we've already booked another trip for next year!).
Thank you so much for visiting us at Blind Pass Condominium and we are very excited to have you again next year. We are happy to see you enjoyed your island vacation stay and now we have all year to look forward to your arrival. Please contact us direct should you have any questions along the way!
This unit is even better than the description. Steve, the owner is prompt & kind- the booking process was a breeze. The unit is very spacious. We are a family of 4 (2 teens), & there was plenty of room. This unit could easily accommodate more. I have never stayed anywhere so well stocked- they have everything under the sun available for your vacation fun! Beach towels, beach cart, beach umbrella, sand toys, boogie board, etc. (not to mention board games, books & DVDs!) It made packing/planning awesome knowing the beach fun was just waiting on us! We made all of our meals- the kitchen was well stocked too with all I needed. The unit was super clean & quiet- it felt like we were in a single stand alone home he whole week. The location is at the less busy side of the island- we stayed on this side intentionally to feel "the space". There were times we felt like the beach was all ours. It was never "busy" or crowded. The beach is beautiful- looking at /& for shells was so fun- endless shells, though it was fine to walk barefoot- there's also plenty of sand. The water was churned with sand the first couple of days- due to a tropical storm that had passed through- but then it became crystal clear. No currents or undertows. We walked along the beach every evening in awe of the sunsets. The complex's pool was great to swim in too! My kids were glad there was a deep end. We rented bikes- though due to being on the less busy side of the island- options are less on where to ride to, but was still fun. We rode to Captiva island & explored some there. Just prior to Captiva at the end of Sanibel is a general store- they do sell scooped ice cream. We also rode our bikes to & through Ding Darling Santuary a couple of times. Sanibel is a true relaxing getaway. We saw manitees, Dolphins, tortoise, lots of unique birds, and of course, a couple of gators (far off;) This unit was perfect & we would absolutely recommend it and stay again .
Thank you for the very nice review, Becca; Linda and I really appreciate it ! We're happy that you enjoyed our condo and that you had a great week at Blind Pass. It was thoughtful of you to take the time to post the review. I am currently in the process of arranging with a contractor to make some additional improvements that I hope to have done this Fall including kitchen and bathroom renovations - we will be replacing the countertops around the stove and sink with granite, removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room and adding a third granite counter on new cabinets where the pantry sits. We will also replace the master bath shower door with a new one and improve the bathtub to look new. Thought I'd mention that since it's what I'm presently working on. Thanks again for the review !!
