Stay in a renovated apartment in the historic Breckinridge Mill. It's got exposed brick walls, tons of light, and comfortable beds. We'll bring you breakfast from our family farm.
During the day, explore the two hundred acre property, take a horseback ride, tour vineyards and breweries (including the new Ballast Point Brewery), swim, fish, or hike. Then, spend an autumn evening sitting around the fire pit, grilling burgers and swapping stories.
Breckinridge Mill is on the National Register of Historic Places. It sits on the edge of two hundred acres, which is home to horse stables, a cattle ranch, and a small goat dairy. There are gardens, pastures, and an old dam with a swimming hole. The apartment has a full kitchen, two queen beds, two full bathrooms, and three skylights.
We are happy to arrange horseback lessons and rides through the neighboring Ardmore Equestrian Center. Have a horse waiting at your doorstep after breakfast!
We are also willing to arrange mountain biking and road biking rentals. We have over a decade of experience in the cycling industry, and are happy to recommend trails, routs, and shops in the area.
Our mile long section of Catawba Creek is stocked yearly with rainbow trout. Bass and catfish are also commonly caught. We also offer guided trips to native brook trout streams.
Please contact us prior to booking if you're interested in riding, biking, or fishing.
On certain occasions, we offer four course dinners for up to eight guests. Ingredients are local and seasonal. We specialize in grass fed lamb, artisan cheese, and wild foraged mushrooms. Please contact us for details.
