Driving down the lane, between verdant green acres of yard, you approach the farmhouse and the large,
wrap around porch and turn the handle of the antique red door. You enter the house into a cosy sitting room, with a television and dvd player, gas stove for toasty evenings, a sofa and an overstuffed chair in the bowed window. A large chest/table is the perfect place for games and puzzles that you will find on the bookshelves. You glimpse the chef's kitchen with a Wolf range, cherry cabinets and soapstone counters and a wood table that seats four. The living room, with an elegant leather sofa and loveseat is perfect for entertaining, and there is wood on the porch for the wood stove. You walk into the adjacent dining room, with a fun country table and six chairs where you can enjoy the beautiful stained glass window or the expansive view to the outdoors. Off the living room you will find the office/library that has custom shelving and 2 work areas for your computers, as well as bookshelves with reading material for your visit and a sheepskin rug for your tootsies. A large powder room and a laundry room complete the first floor, which has glittering light provided through the many large windows.
The bedrooms and full bath lie at the top of the beautiful staircase. The "green" bedroom greets you with a queen, carved wooden bed, and a reading area with a cushy reading chair, table and lamp. The "blue" bedroom has a king bed, 30's cream furnishings and glittery matching lamps. The third bedroom has a queen bed, and children's books and games for their enjoyment. The bath is a clawfoot tub, and a wonderful red electric stove to warm up those large, fluffy towels.
Outside, you can grill and enjoy eating on the stone patio, walk around the 6 acres of lush grass, apple trees, the barn is breathtaking. We are dog friendly, and your fur friend will enjoy the yard as much as the dog in the photos.
