Our luxurious home-away-from home is most desirable, as it is located on the UPPER level of a two-story building in Wailea Ekolu Village. Our high vaulted ceilings are appreciated as allowing a much more open and spacious feeling than the lower levels that have a more closed-in look. This prime location is one of the closest of Ekolu's units to the ocean, situated directly adjacent to Wailea's magnificent Old Blue golf course.

We have panoramic ocean views of the islands of Kahoolawe, Lanai, and Molokini, and the West Maui Mountains from both the master bedroom and living room lanais, as well as from the kitchen, bedroom and living room windows. You will enjoy dining and relaxing on the ocean-facing lanais during the day, and watching magnificent sunsets at night. During the winter/early spring months one can enjoy watching whales frolicking in the distance. The third lanai overlooks the foothills of Mt. Haleakala.

Our spacious 1,400 square-foot condominium (including the three lanais) has a separate entryway, kitchen and bar area, living/dining room, and two master bedroom suites, each with its own private bathroom. Air-conditioners are in each bedroom and the living room. We have added high-speed internet with WiFi at no additional cost to our guests. Our vacation home is decorated with specifically selected fine artwork, decor, and comfortable furnishings for an aesthetically beautiful tropical theme. Our second story advantage allows us tall vaulted ceilings that give our condo a very open and spacious feeling, as well as allowing for wonderful ocean views. Upper level units rent a little higher than lower because of this additional open space and ocean views.

Our remodeling includes solid granite slabs in the kitchen and both bathrooms, travertine floors in the entryway, kitchen, and bathrooms, travertine tile in both showers, and hard-surfaced floors in the living room and both bedrooms. Our favorite shower is in the guest bathroom where we have artistically inset small granite Honu (turtles) throughout the shower walls. Both bedrooms, as well as the living room, have separately controlled air-conditioners. There is a TV in each bedroom, with a large LCD flat panel in the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all amenities. There is a large front loading washer and dryer next to the master bedroom/bath suite for your convenience. We purchase new plush towels and linens each year to update our unit. Extra beach towels and equipment are stored for our guest's use.

For your enjoyment, Ekolu Village has two beautiful tiled swimming pools that overlook the ocean. Our guests have access to free parking and several outside barbecues amidst the 17 beautifully maintained acres of tropical landscaped grounds.

A short walking distance away is the Old Blue golf course clubhouse and the prestigious Shops At Wailea, an upscale center with fine restaurants, art galleries, clothing and jewelry outlets, coffee emporium, general store, and sundries shops as well as 5-star hotels. One can indulge in sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving at the nearby award-winning beaches of Wailea, Ulua, Mokapu, Keawakapu, Polo, and Big Beach, among others. Close by, for hiking and exercise enthusiasts, is a two-mile-long paved promenade that winds its way along the ocean and the Wailea luxury 5-star resort hotels.

The rental rate depends on the season (the Christmas/New Year's period being the most expensive) and length of stay. Maximum occupancy is five, including all children. Complete details can be found by visiting our webpage or contacting us by email.

About Connie & Jim Samuelson

Originally from N. California, moving to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2013. Jim is a former Math Professor and Dean of Math & Science (Ph.D. ) in CA, and Connie former Psychotherapist. We have four children and six grandchildren. We enjoy the good life, traveling extensively throughout the year, home to CA & Colorado as well as European travels if not in our Hawaii home.

Wailea is one of the most prestigious areas on the island of Maui, with several 5-star hotels and highly rated golf courses and top beaches . Ekolu Village has over 17 acres of tropical landscaped areas with wonderful ocean views in all units. Our unit is upstairs with high vaulted ceilings which afford wonderful ocean views as well as a much more open feeling inside our condo.

What makes this condo unique

Ekolu Village condos look directly onto the three islands adjacent to Maui with great views from the lanais of whales breaching during the winter/spring season. We have easy access to many of the island tropical activities, great snorkeling beaches, wonderful restaurants and spas, tennis and golf, high-end shopping as well as last-minute economical stores at the Wailea Village Shopping center.

Stunning view from lanai!

Our family of four enjoyed this beautiful property! Having two beds in the second bedroom was a definite plus. The condo was beautifully appointed and the kitchen stocked with cookware/utensils. Every morning we relaxed on the lanai with our coffee and watched the boats heading to Molokini crater, and the beauty of the sun on the sparkling, calm water. We had to pry ourselves away to start the day's activities. And the sunsets...gorgeous! The property is in a great location; a short walk to the Wailea Shops and paved beach path, and also convenient location to explore the island by car. The Samuelsons were most accommodating as our stay was planned last minute and responded immediately to any questions we had. We highly recommend staying there!

This is a wonderful space to stay in south Maui. All appliances are up to date. Tons of space and a cute porch overlooking the ocean. I couldn't have been happier! The owners are very nice and accommodating.

We enjoyed the condo location, close the all the beaches we like, shopping and great dining. These units are great for couples or families with kids as each room as their own bathroom and privacy. Being in the front row also provides for fantastic ocean views great whale watching and amazing sunsets.

We have rented several other units in this complex all on the ground floor which we prefer. I like the grills and this unit didn't have one but we used the

common area grill almost every night. The unit had every thing needed to cook. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this unit. The owners were excellent to work with.

Lovely condo with a great view.

We certainly enjoyed our stay in your well decorated, clean, roomy condo. The view is better than the one displayed on your site. The kitchen was very nice with all the items one would need. The unit is very quiet, close to shops, restaurants and beaches. The beds were very comfortable.

One of our favorite places for mai tais and appetizers was Tommy Bahama right below the condo in the Shops at Wailea. The fish tacos at Coconuts restaurant were terrific. The beaches nearby are very nice but one of the best for snorkeling is Kapalua Bay, lots of beautiful fish and turtles.

The owners are lovely to work with. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

When we return to Maui we will stay here again. Mahalo

Lovely condo! Walk to shops & restaurants

This condo is one of the nicest I've stayed in. Kitchen has everything you want for a few day or few week stay. Plenty of towels and linens. Tidy, well decorated and comfortable. Condos are situated so each unit is very quiet. You can easily walk to the restaurants nearby as well as the Shops at Wailea. The beach is a longer walk or quick car ride. Would definitely stay here again!
