No telescope necessary! This place has expansive ocean views from large windows inside the house, as well as the huge 800 sq ft private deck just yards above the surf. To the north, Bodega Head is visible in the distance. To the west, you have full unobstructed views of the sun as it sets behind the horizon. To the south, the full length of Dillon Beach is in view, along with Tomales Point rising up across the bay inlet.
Our guests enjoy watching surfers catch a wave in the morning lineup and dog owners walking the beach as their pets run off leash. Another favorite activity is to belly up to the deck railing in the late afternoon to watch the sun sink toward the horizon, and enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine, or beverage of your choice. Those in the know have also enjoyed returning to the deck after dark to gaze at the constellations, when the Dillon sky on a clear night shows them off like they were just above the rooftops.
In addition to the fabulous views, access to the beach itself is quick and easy. A flat two minute walk down the street to the marked beach trail, then another minute or two on the trail down to the sand. Once on the sand, you can hike the entire 2 mile length of Dillon Beach, explore the rocky tidal pools, or run your dog off leash on what is a rare legal spot to do so.
Beauty on the Beach is an older comfortable house, recently updated inside by new owners. The furniture and decorations appeal to those looking for a fun yet unpretentious spot to temporarily call home. The large open floor plan is specifically designed to encourage interaction with family and friends, and the ocean is ever present. There are ocean views from almost every area of the home whether you are fixing a meal in the kitchen, playing pool in the entertainment area, or walking out of an upstairs bedroom.
The upstairs sleeping area has three bedrooms with two full baths. The balcony running the entire length of the second story is open to allow conversation between those upstairs and down. The master has a Cal King bed and full bath. The middle bedroom has two queen beds and a twin bunk bed. The third bedroom also has a Cal King bed. A second full bathroom is also upstairs for easy access.
Downstairs is the entertainment area, which includes the open kitchen, dining area, fireplace conversation pit, and TV/Wet Bar area with pool table. A large sofa and pub table ensure there is seating for all to gather round. The kitchen and dining area are on the beach view side of the ground floor. The dining table with breakfast bar has enough seating for the entire group to be together while a meal is being prepared, or have a sit down dinner for 10. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the basic items, and many extras.
For those who can't live without their gadgets, there is free wireless internet service along with Dish Satellite TV. The smart TV has 250 channels, HBO, and Showtime, along with access to Pandora, Netflicks, etc. if you have an account. Apple folks will find convenient docks located in the bedrooms to charge I phones. All bedding and limited number of towels are provided. Both a washer and dryer are on the premises and available for limited use.
Nearby restaurants include American, Italian, and Seafood cuisine, all within a short drive. Convenience store and bakery located within 5 minute drive. See the binder in the house for specific references and directions. Nearby day trip locations include Napa and Sonoma Valley (hot air ballooning and wine tasting), Bodega Bay (golf and quaint shops), Sausalito (upscale boutiques), San Francisco, Point Reyes, and Armstrong Park.

About the owner: My wife an I were looking for a vacation home, and have friends who owned a home at Dillon. While visiting on several occasions we were struck by the awesome views, beach access, and small "beach town" feel.

800 square foot deck that spans the entire ocean side of the house directly over the bluff. Many homes claim to have an ocean view, but very few can deliver like the homes on the Kailua Way Bluff. No rooftops, wires, or roads to take away from the view of the beach, ocean, and marine life.
