Our cottage is located just west of Charlottesville less than 2 miles from the Grounds of the University of Virginia. It is in a quiet neighborhood just off the first intersection outside the city limits, less then five minutes from the major roads accessing the city. It is located on a three-acre lot that overlooks a wooded creek-bed separating our property and the University's golf course, so it is very quiet and has a great feeling of privacy. The cottage is located in the rear of our property behind our house and has its own parking so you can easily come and go.
The cottage is a one-level house that has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a large open floor-plan family room and dining area. The master bedroom has a king size bed and its own bathroom with a shower. The other bedroom has two twin beds, and the main bathroom has a bathtub/shower. Both bathrooms have been renovated recently and feel fresh and bright. The kitchen has new granite countertops and a new hardwood floor. The whole interior has been freshly painted.
Besides being super-convenient to the University of Virginia and downtown Charlottesville, our neighborhood is also a relaxing place to spend the beautiful days of fall in Central Virginia. Walking trails to the nearby Boars Head Sports Club and the Ragged Mountain Natural Area (a trail system surrounding the local reservoir) are directly accessible within a short walk from the cottage.

Peaceful & Relaxing
We had a fantastic time in Charlottesville and staying at this cottage. Great space, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing. Enjoyed how quiet the area was, hardly realized it was so close to UVA and Downtown area.
Lovely relaxing weekend in Charlottesville!
A perfect stay in Charlottesville! We were so close to the University and had a perfect and relaxing time in the cottage. The owners were so welcoming and helpful in introducing us to the area - so many restaurants, walks and history! The cottage is very cozy - comfortable beds, beautiful linens, great kitchen, and everything we needed. We will be back in the Spring for a weekend to visit the wineries!
Since we are near the intersection of Rt 29, Rt 250 and I64, it's easy to access any part of town or the western mountains for hiking. We are 12 minutes from Pippin Hill and other vineyards are close by. The Boars Head Inn (which includes UVA's tennis and squash facilities) and Farmington Country Club are both within a five-minute drive.
