It’s in Sea Pines. There’s a pool..though not open when we were there and no notice about that, and tennis courts - did use those which were great for us amateurs. The location is great for getting to the beach and/ or Harbor Town. Try to avoid crossing Greenwood at the driveway entrance..nightmare, esp if you have little ones. There’s a cut through that spits you out by the forest preserve and back of community garden ( across from stables). That’s also the best way to get to the beach, ride on down past Hilton Head Academy. Super quick!
As for the villa itself..it’s on a lake which is lovely and it’s not completely surrounded by other homes. Be aware that the sewage plant is very close. A shift in the wind may make you want to shift inside.
The home is stocked with the bare necessities, if you think you might need it, bring it. There were a few leftover beach toys in a closet. I was able to use one beach chair. My son pulled out some racquet set but it was broken. I sense that this is a for profit only rental. I don’t imagine the owners stay here. The place doesn’t give you the warm and fuzzies, no special touches or attention to detail.
The rental manager was helpful. We had a minor issue with the linens and she took care of it right away. The dishwasher also leaked but we only needed it the one time. I made her aware of that as well. I’m sure it has been resolved.
If you want a quiet place to lie your head, enjoy your morning coffee with the neighborhood gators and take an easy ride to the beach, this should be fine.
If you want to be wooed by thoughtful touches, upgrades and extras, you may want to keep looking.
