It's the perfect nest from which to enjoy this beautiful city. The community-oriented neighbourhood blends ongoing grit from decades of economic struggle with a robust creative arts scene, micro-breweries, co-ops, and a booming farmers market. People of all backgrounds and identities are warmly welcome in this house.

The house is old enough to have character features and has been well-maintained such that it feels clean and fresh inside. Guest access

The house is split into 2 units so the back patio and backyard are shared with my lovely neighbour, Darcy. She's a real gem. She often does the cleaning between guests. The units have completely separate entrances and she's very quiet; you're unlikely to even realize there's another unit.

When you are here it means that I am out of town. Myself, as well as a support team who helps me look after the place, will be available via phone & the app for any concern or recommendation. For the most part we'll leave you to your own adventure!

Neighbourhood Overview

This is not a wealthy neighbourhood but it is a safe one. Staying here offers an authentic experience of London: artsy people and gorgeous heritage homes mixing with social services and a revitalizing main strip. It's the fastest 'up-and-coming' neighbourhood in the city and offers fantastic local businesses.

Getting around

A bus stop servicing several major lines is only 1 block away. The house is on a 1-way street with a bike lane going across the city. There are several other bike lanes around the neighbourhood.

Why Ben chose London

I wanted a duplex in this funky neighbourhood so I could live in one side and rent the other. The balance of the full-time tenant in one unit and short-term renters in the other while I'm away is the perfect balance. I get to live in a vibrant neighbourhood, close to my parent's house, close to downtown, close to a huge farmer's market, close to, well, everything :)
