Quiet, clean, and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely experience at Dani’s place. Dani made us feel welcome and all communication was clear, friendly, and prompt. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 6. Family room was a little tight for 6, but the square footage is utilized elsewhere—like the spacious upstairs bedrooms, nice sized main floor bathroom. We enjoyed the quiet happiness that comes from family time in the woods in the mountains! Make no mistake, though there are neighbors dotted along the winding way to Summit House, your family will feel the quiet of nature. We were happy to see deer, chipmunks, many birds from the spacious, relaxing porch/deck. My children enjoyed the little touches—hiking/walking sticks all ready for exploring, games in the ottoman. Dani does an excellent job describing things to do nearby in the welcome binder like only a local person could. The theme here is quiet relaxation, just what we wanted!

Awesome mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was great. We had our family including a 2 1/2 and a 1 year old. This was a perfect spot for the kids to play outside. The covered deck was amazing. Having a national forest trail outside the back door was a terrific bonus for anyone who likes to hike. Being away from the city provided the peace and quiet so many people don't get to experience.

The home was clean and the beds very comfortable.

The kitchen was very well equipped which is not always the case.

Many thanks to Dani and Steve for opening up their home to enable us to have a wonderful place to stay while in the area for a family wedding without having to be stuck in a hotel in the city.

We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a mountain living experience.

Wonderful stay in peaceful location with stunning views from the mountain top

  • 4 of 5

The house is cosy and comfortable with efficient use of space - there were 5 of us and we never felt crowded....and the mattresses were very comfortable! Also liked that although this home is almost atop the mountain, it was only about a 5-10 mile drive to Evergreen with the lake, shops, entertainment, restaurants, etc. There was some snow during our stay and the children enjoyed using the sleds at the house for sliding around in the yard. We're looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy a different season and for some hiking on the trails near the house.
