Only one block to the beach and yet right in the center of the historic district, we are located in the James Leaming House, one of Cape May's most whimsical Victorian gingerbread houses.
The Garden Apartment is on the first floor at the rear of the house and it looks out to the back garden with its blooming blue and pink hydrangeas bushes. There is one bright and breezy bedroom with a queen size bed, a living room furnished in blues and gold with a full size sofa-bed and a fully equipped open galley kitchen complete with refrigerator, gas range, microwave and dishwasher. The apartment has air conditioners in the living room and bedroom and has cable TV, a DVD player and free wireless internet. The Garden Apartment has its own private entrance by the garden gate. The garden has a gas grill and picnic table and chairs for dining out on warm summer nights.
We provide free beach tags for our guests as well as free permit parking available at our offsite lot.
A short walk down Decatur Street will take you to the nicest beaches in town. After a full day at the beach you can enjoy a wonderful meal at one of our many fine Cape May restaurants or throw some steaks on the BBQ and chill out in the comfort of your own garden hideaway.
Park your car in our convenient lot on Bank Street and then everything is within easy walking distance. Bring your bicycles or rent one and take a ride out to our famous bird observatory at the Point or have lunch at Sunset Beach and watch the dolphins play in the surf.
You just couldn't pick a better location than Decatur Street if you want to be close to the beach but also surround yourself with the Victorian ambience of Cape May.
