Haller Coastal Homes Cancellation Policy - PLEASE READ AS VRBO DOES NOT HAVE THIS OPTION! For reservations that are STAYS OF LESS THAN 30 DAYS: (Rentals that are nightly or weekly and less than 30 days) A sixty (60) day notice is required for ANY cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur the loss of the security deposit (if one was collected) or if no security deposit is required, $275 plus the cost of the $99 Damage Waiver. Damage Waivers are non-refundable. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made less than 60 days of the arrival date, will incur the loss of the total reservation amount paid including and reservation/security deposit/damage waiver policy. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. For reservations that are STAYS OF 30 DAYS OR MORE: (Monthly rentals) Any cancellation made more than 120 days prior to arrival will incur the loss of 1/2 of the reservation confirmation amount (1st Payment) less any amount paid towards the security deposit (if one was collected). Damage Waivers are non-refundable. Cancellations that are made within 120-90 days prior to the arrival date, will incur the loss of the full total reservation amount paid to date which includes less any amount applied towards security deposit (if one was collected). Cancellations made less than 90 days prior to arrival, will incur the loss of the full reservation amount including security deposit (if security deposit was collected). Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or return of deposit. Cancellations due to NATURAL DISASTERS or HEALTH RELATED REASONS The above policies remain in effect unless the city has issued the closure of freeways and roads leading into the city where this property is located or this property has an evacuation order in effect during your stay. In these cases where the city has issued such freeway closures or evacuation order, a full refund will be credited back for the reservation, after the scheduled arrival date. While weather changes and local emergencies can happen that may affect your stay, we do not have control over the degree of impact. We recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to ensure piece of mind in the event of an unexpected cancellation. Cancellations due to health related or other personal reasons are subject to the cancellation time frames and policies listed above for "reservations that are stays less than 30 days" and "reservations that are stays 30 days or more".

Review of my stay
We really enjoyed the property, very comfortable and super close to the beach and downtown. I am giving it 4 stars due to check out instructions. First , 10 am is super early for check out , everywhere else its 11 am or 12 pm. And instructions regarding cleaning the property upon departure is too too much. Perhaps I can understand putting dishes in dishwasher and starting the dishwasher , which I always do at every property we stay , but taking and putting all white towels and starting laundry, taking the garbage , all garbage out even out of small trash baskets from bathrooms , that’s way too much !!! The cleaning fee along with other fees already had been collected! It makes the departure stressful with already early 10 am check out time. We felt like now we are a part of a cleaning crew as well.

We do love our property dearly and since we do not operate like a hotel, it takes a considerable amount of time to clean this large 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom home with full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 patios, BBQ and firepit. Laundry cycles alone to do linens for 3 large beds takes 4-5 hours and so all we ask is guests to place some towels in the washer before they go. Nothing more than that. In terms of taking the trash out, we ask our home be maintained this way so no ants or heavy odors stay in the home. I'm so sorry you felt this was too much. We try our best to provide so much more than any other vacation rental with all the extra amenities to save you money with beach equipment, toiletries, lots of supplies, etc and yet give you an incredible experience staying in the home. Yes, we admit we cannot operate like a hotel and when another guest is arriving at 3:00 the same day you leave it is not possible to get all the cleaning done and any repairs needed in time for the next guest. We do have a high level of cleanliness which every guest has appreciated and I'm sure you did upon arrival. It is also quite rare to have a guest stay as short of a stay as you did so in those cases, we do recommend a hotel stay in the future.
Great house, great location. Helpful and friendly owner and property manager. So fun to stay in a classic Santa Barbara place, close to the beach, close to downtown and really nicely decorated and stocked. Perfect for our annual sister/mom trip.

Indoor fireplace was a great perk and an outdoor fire pit was a treat.
A fuse blew and we couldn’t get it back on. As it was Saturday evening, an electrician wasn’t available until Monday. We worked through it and would recommend this property if that gets taken care of.
Thank you Neva for your review of the property however, you forgot to mention that your party did blow a fuse and within 30 minutes we were on site at 10:30 pm on a Saturday night to see the issue was that in fact you had not put the breaker back in the "on" position instead of the "off" after walking you through it over the phone. All lights in one bedroom and bathroom that were out were restored immediately and while yes we admit when running hairdryers in all bathrooms, microwaves, dishwashers and laundry at once, these older homes can have a fuse go but easily corrected, which we fixed immediately that very evening. What this guest did not mention yet is referring to in the electrician not coming out is the "GFCI outlet" in the bathroom she actually blew by using an appliance not meant for U.S. plugs! This was fixed promptly Monday morning but absolutely no fault of the property. Again, we would never have any guest go without electricity so for someone to suggest we would make them wait and go without any for any extended period, well, we take this opportunity to set the record straight and also reflect on what was a very long weekend for our company, and expensive fix for our owner to replace....
