About Tim Haggett

Hi, My name is Tim Haggett, I am the 4th generation of 6 generations who have shared our property on Flathead Lake. My family has enjoyed our property for over one hundred years and we like to share it with others when we have the opportunity.

The property was purchased by my Great Grandfather Owen Smither's who owned a drug store in Kalispell from 1890 - 1930.

Tim Haggett purchased this lodge in 1895

Why Tim Haggett chose Flathead Lake

Flathead Lake is one of the jewels of North America. Within a short drive of the lodge you have access to Glacier National Park, one of the most visited National Parks in North America. At the lodge you can enjoy fishing, hiking, water sports, swimming and boating. Within a short drive you can enjoy, white water rafting, shopping, backpacking, snow skiing, summer theater, a visit to the national Bison range, golf (8 exceptional courses) and a host of other recreational and cultural activities.

What makes this lodge unique

The cabin or "Hagget's Haven" is uniquely, built from Montana logs it has a local charm that brings out the natural beauty of Montana. The cabin is located 30 feet from the lake shore and offers over 200 feet of private beach access. Its rustic charm and quite setting is enjoyed by all who stay at the lodge.

wonderful, warm, homelike, welcoming

  • 5 of 5

my family has been staying at haggett haven for over 10 years, it is the highlight of our year. the home is warm and casual, has all we need for family dinners (kitchen well stocked, 2 refrigerators), sleeping and napping, reading and listening to music, afternoons in the lake, day trip to glacier, or evening play in big fork, playing games in the evening. the photos and descriptions reflect the home. They have consistently improved the house each year, and have always been easy to work with. it is a special place that we love.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just spent a week at Haggett's Haven and it was wonderful! The cabin contained everything anyone could ever want--even a rice cooker!

We came from many different states. It was a long trip for some of us but we all agree that we would like to come back again.

Thanks Tim and family! Great place!

Anne
