Welcome to Hale O Napohaku.

We offer a lovely, clean, island style home, including a 3 bedroom house and 2 one-bedroom apartments on the beach at Laie Bay, Oahu Hawaii.

A perfect get away by the sea. Bring the extended family and have a vacation for up to 16 people.

In the 3 bedroom house there is a king sized bed in the master bedroom , queen sized beds in each of the 2 guest rooms and another queen bed in the living area.

In each of the 1 bedroom apartments is a king sized bed in the bedroom and 2 twin sized beds in the living area.

About Ishii

We are two families who together puchased Hale O Napohaku to enjoy the beach living.

This 'Ohana (Family) property has been popular with famiies and small groups of friends who want to stay together.

We keep our prices moderate for everyone and do not fluctuate according to season.

What makes this house unique

Hale O Napohaku offers a three bedroom house with an open concept kitchen/dining/living area that opens onto the sundeck overlooking Laie Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

In a separate building on the property are 2 one bedroom apartments.

As much fun as it is to be together, having 2 apartments for some to retreat to at the end of the day, makes for a more relaxing holiday.

Also, Laie Shopping Center is 12 telephone poles away for provisions.

In addition, neighboring communities offer more expanded inventories.

There is ample off street parking on the property.

Good Time, Good Memories

Stayed at this property Feb 21-28 2018. Overall, our family (10 adults and 7 children) had a very good time and made wonderful memories during our stay, although it was a little crowded with 6 adults and 3 children in the main house with 2 bathrooms, but the price was right. The owners were awesome to work with and responded quickly to emails and concerns that came up. The children had a great time running around in the gated front yard and also in the back yard. It was so handy to have the beach in our back yard, which was important for our family's various activities and age differences--one of the reasons I picked this house. The only "con" on the beach was all the debris. I don't know if it was the time of year and the tide, or what, but we managed to play around it or go up the beach a little. We appreciated the boogie boards and beach toys, chairs, etc. (some in better shape than others). The main house was in good shape for being on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the two big tables came in handy. I thought it was odd to have a bed in the front room but it ended up being handy for extra seating during the day. The master bedroom had a space fan vs an A/C so we were glad there was a screened window. The other 2 rooms had A/C. We thought the beds were OK in 2 of the rooms but one of the couples said their bed was not comfortable and put the futons on it for extra padding. We loved having 2 washers and 2 dryers on the property. The two apartments were handy for giving families a little more space of their own, however, they weren't in as good of condition as the main house. We did feel that all three buildings were clean and the yard was well maintained. We had good times here, good meals and lasting memories! We did learn that this side of the island is not the sunniest this time of the year.

Owner's Response: Aloha, We are so glad that your family had a wonderful stay. We usually have a white sandy beach. Unfortunately, just before your arrival, we had a very heavy rain storm which caused the debris from the mountain to flow down to the ocean and eventually on to the shoreline. The bed in the living room is actually typical in local homes. We call it a pune'e and it's used as a day bed. Thank you for noticing how clean the units are and how well maintained the yard is. Our cleaning team and yard crew take pride in presenting a clean and comfortable home away from home.

The property was spacious for outside activities.

The beach is great for building sand castles, long walks, snorkeling, fishing and diving.

The house is clean and comfortable.

Beach front, great location.

Having this home on the beach is priceless! Hearing the waves at night to put me to sleep, being able to walk out the door and be on a beautiful beach with great swimming is worth its weight in gold. The location is great. Minutes from hikes, zip lining, Polenesian culture center, shrimp shacks, and more. I would recommend if you want to stay out of the city.

Everything we wanted!

My family just got home from our stay and already miss Laie, HI. We had a group of 16 and rented the house and both apartments. It was perfect! We had plenty of space, a large yard, and privacy. We walked out of the backyard gate and were right on the beach. My husband and I once stayed in a large rental house in Kaaawa and were sad we couldn't rent the same house this time, but this was so much better for our family. The house was located right off the main road but it still felt private. It is an older home but had all the things necessary to be comfortable while away from our own home. The main house had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a bed off the living area, perfect for my 2 daughters to share. They felt they were right in the middle of all the family action. We spent most days on the beach, if we weren't already out around the island doing other activities. This house sat right in the middle of a bay that we loved walking around each morning and night. The waves weren't too big, but big enough to boogie board. We were even able to snorkel right our in front of the house and my nephew saw a big turtle. I would definitely recommend water shoes, as there are areas of rocks off the beach, but that only makes snorkeling more interesting. The stores and a few restaurants were close by. We even bought a basketball and went to the elementary school one night to play ball with the family, then later donated the ball to a family who lives nearby. The homeowner called to check in on us after we arrived, then contacted us during the week after one night of rain to make sure all was well. This was a great location overall. It was away from the big city to the South, but we were able to go everywhere we wanted during the week. I would plan accordingly as there were areas of crazy road construction and it took longer than we hoped to travel some days, but no one can really help that. If I was to come back to Oahu, I would stay here again!

Great property for our family vacation

We actually rented the whole property in Feb. 2013 for our family of 16. It was awesome. We loved having the whole place to ourselves. We loved being able to walk out our back yard and be on the beach. There is plenty of room. The owners and care takers were great to work with. This is an older place but we were very happy with it, besides we are there for the beach and other activities. I recommend this house for anyone.
