Lovely and cozy private basement apartment with ensuite bathroom in a charming brick house on quiet street. Fully-furnished and equipped kitchen close to Greektown, home to all the patios and wonderful shops, restaurants, coffee spots, grocery stores lining Danforth Avenue, 5 minute bus ride or 15 min walk to the closest subway station (Donlands) and a 10 min drive to Downtown Toronto. Best suited for couples, solo adventurers, small family and business travelers.
Welcome to our house, located in one of the most vibrant communities in Toronto - Greektown.
Our family (a young couple and 2 kids) lives above, we are hospitable towards our guests to ensure they have a positive stay, we hope to host guests who encourage the same respect and comfort towards us, the space, and our neighbours.
Guests may hear us during their stay. We do our best to minimize noise but there's only so much we can do within reason. If you're looking for complete silence and/or want to sleep in late, our home is probably not a good fit. We want you to enjoy your stay so just send a message if you have questions or concerns during your stay!
You will have your own private entrance, hence a lot of privacy. There is usually always free street parking available across the house.
We are very friendly and responsive through VRBO messaging or phone if necessary. We would also be happy to answer any questions you may have about the apt and our beautiful city. One of the hosts speaks Spanish :)
Ceilings are 6'2". Host is 6' and does not have issues with ceiling height. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood :)
We want you to enjoy your stay, feel free to send a message if you have any questions or concerns during your stay!
Toronto, the most multiculturally diverse city on the planet: over 140 languages are spoken. It's estimated that over half of Toronto's residents were born outside Canada, and despite its complex makeup, Torontonians generally get along. When the weather is fine, Toronto is a blast: a vibrant, big-time city abuzz with activity. Some of the world's finest restaurants are found here, alongside happening bars and clubs and eclectic festivals.
Yes, winter in Toronto can be a real drag. Things get messy on the congested highways and archaic public transit system. But come with patience, an open mind and during the delightfully temperate and colorful spring or fall, and you're bound to have a great time.
This cozy place is located just east of Greektown, Danforth Village is well known for its shopping district along Danforth Avenue. The Danforth's many shops and restaurants reflect the multicultural flavor of the residents who live in this neighborhood. Toronto's #1 summer festival and the city's biggest celebration of meat on a skewer; known as the Taste of the Danforth. One of my favorite places to shop and eat organic is the famous "The Big Carrot". Lovely parks and stunning views of downtown Toronto from Riverdale Park East.
Close to Toronto's Greektown with their many shops, restaurant/cafes and clubs. Taxis and Uber are nearby.
TTC Ride Guide is in the apartment.
Head west from Donlands station to Yonge and Bloor (line 2) and transfer to Line 1 (south), to get to the lake, CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre and Eaton Centre, Dundas Square and much more!
Enjoy : -)
