Embrace "Maine - the Way Life Should be" at this cabin in Bridgton,
About Maureen Doherty
We've been enjoying all that Bridgton has to offer for nearly 20 years. We found this lovely town when we used to camp at Point Sebago and decided to make it our permanent home away from home. Our time on Long Lake has given us so many wonderful family memories. We are hoping that staying at this Cabin will create happy memories and have you coming back again for the "best vacation ever".

Great Maine stay!
Loved the house. Great place nestled in the woods. Accommodations were fantastic. Enjoyed using the kayaks and taking walks to town.
weekend in Maine
Only complaints are water pressure/supply for showers and uncomfortable top bunks. Other than that, wonderful
Pleasnt stay in Bridgton: 6/6/19-6/9/19
Excellent rental experience. Fast, useful and informative communication with owner. House was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
Beautiful house and location.
Beautiful cozy house with all the accommodations one needs. Great location. Thankyou
Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy that you were pleased with the accommodations for your sons graduation from Bridgton Academy. Happy you were all able to relax and watch the Bruins game.
Great Ski Escape
We spent the New Year in this lovely home for local skiing and music. This year brought some early snow to Shawnee and made for great skiing. The home is lovely and cozy and suited our two families very nicely. The house is equipped with kitchen necessities that allowed us to make some great apres ski comfort food! The living room is open to the kitchen and dining so it is welcoming for family gatherings or just watching a movie. Just love the wood stove for drying ski gear and adding extra warmth.
The hosts were next door and able to help us out with a few things as we got settled. It was a lovely get away to start the new year!
It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. This year is our first year renting and we are always learning, so thank you for the patience with the pellet stove, we will be adding directions for future renters. Thank you for your kind words and Happy New Year. Maureen & Bill
A great place for a visit to Maine
We’ve been coming to Maine for the fall for almost 25 years now, and this was one of the best overall places we’ve stayed, and we’ve done hotels, B&Bs, lodges, cabins, etc. This cabin (or camp, as they are called in Maine) was comfortable and clean and had a nice homey feel. The Surroundings were very secluded and private with lots of beautiful trees and yet we were minutes away from all the amenities in Bridgton, such as grocery stores, a seafood market, restaurants, etc. There is plenty of hiking, sight-seeing and lake activities nearby and this area, on the edge of the White Mountains, is in our opinion one of Maine’s best. It is great country style living and yet you are less than an hour away from Portland if you need to visit the ‘big city’ for a day trip.
Maureen and Bill were wonderful owners who responded quickly any questions we had. The cabin had lots of amenities such as good high-speed wi-fi and a nice TV, though we didn’t spend much time watching it. (too many outdoor activities) We are very much into cooking and made many of our meals in the cabin—its kitchen was well-stocked with just about anything we needed for cooking, including a large lobster pot so that we could have a lobster feast with some friends one night.
Overall, we would give this place an A+ and we found it to be a great base for our leaf-peeping sojourns. (the foliage was absolutely gorgeous this year!) We had a great time and we would definitely stay here again.
Chris, Thank you for the glowing review. The weather certainly couldn't have been better! This was our first year having a rental property and we were so pleased to have many wonderful guests like you. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback of the camp and amenities that we provided. I hope you do come back to stay with us again. Bridgton is a place for all seasons.
