About Kristi Norcross
We bought this cabin because we LOVE the Black Hills of South Dakota! Hill City is a small town (942 people) with rich culture, wineries, breweries, and art. The 1880 steam train takes you back in time in a family sort of way. Down on Main St, the Dinosaur Museum is on the right, just down from Turtle STOP for ice cream even in the winter! Doc & Alice's is the cutest unique clothing boutique next door to the lovely John Crane Art Gallery. Then there is the ice skating next to the HC visitors center! Can't wait to retire and move to SoDak!

Wonderful stay! Cozy, clean cabin with beautiful wildlife
We stayed at "Ribchester" in April and had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean, well-furnished, and each room had unique character. Our kids immediately started exploring outside and had a blast in the woods. The Mary Poppins room, which has a fireplace, and the Harry Potter room are fun for kids - especially the bed under the stairs. :-) In the mornings, we woke up to deer walking through and saw turkeys in the neighbor's yard. This cabin is quite spacious and could fit a lot of people comfortably.
The cabin was in an ideal location for us. We visited the Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon area, Custer and Custer State Park, Rapid City for a waterpark, Hill City, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands. The immediate area of Hill City was great for shopping and the recommendations from Kristi (owner) were very helpful. Definitely check out Prairie Berry for their wine and food!
Kristi was very responsive and her advice on places to go and how to organize our trip was very helpful. We had a wonderful time at Custer State Park, being surrounded by bison, and the Badlands are amazing. Thank you Kristi!
Amazing experience at this cabin near Hill City.
Our family was very fortunate to be the first guests at the Norcross cabin near Hill City, SD. We experienced the joys of nature, the convience of the cabin to so many local spots for entertainment, great shops in Hill City, skating, skiing and the amazing breathtaking Mt Rushmore. My highlight was choosing, cutting and decorating the 17 foot 1 inch tree we put up!!! With plenty room to spare!!! The moment we walked in the door we felt so welcomed by the warmth and beauty of the cabin. Our group was a mix of young and old and found a place for all of us to be together yet seperate space to do or own thing if desired. Kristi and Corey have done an awesome job of making our vacation the highlight of a lifetime for us to treasure for years. We plan to make this an annual event!! Christmas morning I asked who wanted to do this again and every hand raised in agreement that we will return again and again. Couldn't have had a better experience!! Thanks Kristi and Corey for all you offer at the cabin. We loved it!!!
